Yeah it's annoying when that happens. But it happens a lot in show business, people have similar ideas. It's good to get a patent on an idea when it comes to you. But at least you can be flattered that your idea was clearly good!
P.S. I hear and say supermarket all the time. ::shrugs::

Well, I don't think it takes away from the book or cartoon. It's just a different point of view for a different medium (theater), and it seems like it works. And I liked that they used the original song from the cartoon, and how the Grinch answered to the lyrics.
From where I'm coming from...
It is mainly the parents. I feel like most parents raise their kids to fit in, be an average, normal, well-liked child. That sounds reasonable, you want your kid to be happy. However, it means parents are not teaching their children to think for themselves. You end up raising a sheep, with no...
I agree. They've tried "updating" the Muppets for the current generation, and it hasn't worked. And how do they know the current generation wouldn't like the classic Muppets? They've barely been given a chance.
Ugh, well you can't please everybody! I personally don't mind hearing "you guys".
It just bothers me that saying "his" is the standard in all the textbooks etc. While saying "her" is wrong because the person's not female.
I don't mind the show saying that sometimes it's necessary to defend your loved ones when another group wants to hurt them. It's incredibly unfortunate and horrible, but sometimes necessary.
Though, I hope they don't imply the Iraq war is the way to do. Because it was a mistake; there were...
Ok, I saw a glimpse of the musical during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and ::relief:: it looks much better than the movie. At least at first glance.
It seems that they've tried to stay true to the actual story. As opposed to the movie, which made and made it's own story.
I did know that they shared the Miss Piggy role for awhile. It's interesting, they really didn't think Piggy was going to be as popular as she turned out!
Actually, I didn't think the voices were too much alike, though Richard did a good job. Piggy sounds more like Gladys with him.
Yeah, that's basically what I was thinking, Mrs P.
Of course, don't want to rain on anyone's parade. If you like it's that's fine. It's just a TV show.
Sometimes that's the case, but what I see is people all subscribing to the same standard of beauty. There is no originality in the philosophy.
Talk shows bring on people who are teased for how they look. In the past, they would have told people, "Don't listen to bullies, be happy with who...
This is hard. Obviously "Rainbow Connection" was made for film and was naturally a much fuller, grander song. And it's so moving and brilliant.
But from what I've seen, "Bein' Green" is more well known to the general public. And I love its message; be proud of who you are, don't try to change...
