Well, it's not my place to judge someone I've never met. He may have had some issues. You can't control how you behave when you're drinking too much (that's why you shouldn't, hint hint).
Just because an actor works on a kid's show doesn't mean they are saintly in their real life. People in...
Yeah the 'glory days' were probably the '30s and '40s when things started to really develop.
Though interestingly, in the 1960s, there was a movement in Television animation to get away from the perfect animation of Disney and purposely be more crude and simple. (Of course, that also had to...
Hi, wow I haven't posted here since...well actually I've never posted here...
Not because I didn't want to, it just hadn't really occured to me. But I just wanted to say I like the Scooter story so far. As someone else said, it could have been a Muppet Show episode. I liked the Raquel Welch...
No problem, MN. I was surprised too; I was clicking their "Random Page" link the other day and that's what popped up! They may have gotten it from an old Jim Henson biography. I borrowed it from the library once.
They did that at the Tony's. And I nearly refused to go see the show! It looked completly un-Python when taken out of context. Glad I did finally go though. :)
D'Snowth did make an interesting point though. In movies, TV and music, there are always well paid people. But you generally don't find people in that position in puppetry (or voice acting for that matter).
Yeah I noticed that too! It's great that they did the song. Though, I've seen separate scenes from Spamalot performed twice now. And it seems whenever the songs are taken out of context, Spamalot ends up looking a bit too happy and Broadway, not at all Monty Python. You really need to see...
Janice looks great in completed form! No matter when the quilt gets done, it's a good acheivement.
Wow, well good luck Skye and ilikemuppets!
Just a small thing, I remember a few months ago we discussed Jim and Richard's appearance at the Academy Awards. Muppet Wiki has a larger version of...
Yup, we only see the people who have made it. But they got to where they are today through determination and a large amount of luck. What we don't see are the huge amounts of people who are just as talented and determined but never reach the top. It's really not normal for people in the...
I don't have a my space account, so I don't know much about it. I do think your safety greatly depends on your own conduct on the web.
But as far as I'm concerned, myspace been in the news a little too often lately. I doubt they have the ability or the desire to properly protect its members.
I think people sometimes don't take it personally enough. It's just taken for granted. And things are only "just how it is" until someone changes them.
But I do agree that the "his or her" issue is not as important as other issues. That's very true.
However, a simple change in ours...
When I look back now, what I admire about The Muppets is how they managed to combine sentimentality with irreverence.
One minute they could be touching and sweet, the next violent and insane. And even when they were sweet, it wasn't just "cutesy", it was adult and meaningful.
The Muppets...
Well, I'm a little embarrassed to say, no I've never been made fun of for liking The Muppets. One time I watched a Sesame Street special while in the third grade, and they laughed at me a bit. But it was good natured.
However, I have been made fun of for other interests. And it's definitely...
I don't like political correctness at all. It's ruining our cultural in so many ways.
But I'm female and I don't want to be called "his" just because it's the standard. It's an old fashioned, unequal standard. And using "hers" doesn't always work either. The English language is often a pain...
Absolutely, that's why I don't even count most of the new projects. It's not the Muppets.
And yes, a lot of parents are overly concerned about their kids being trendy. As I said before, they want their kids to be normal and happy, but they are raising a bunch of sheep.
And you're right...
I have to admit the Doozers were never my favorite species on Fraggle Rock. Their whole building and working mentality just wasn't that interesting to me. And they were a bit under developed compared to the other species on the show.
That being said, I enjoyed the Doozers when they were...
