Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
Brave is the first Pixar film directed by a woman. So it's clearly going to speak to girls anyway. I find it a LOT smarter written than any of the ordinary Disney Princess film (which are painfully formulaic, but the better ones make you forget formula), not to mention it's a change of pace of...
To the surprise of no one.
That's ridiculously strong right there. I can't wait to see it go head to head with Batman in 2 weeks. Avengers was lucky that all of its competition was weak (I'm disappointed MIB 3 fell so fast, though), but those are 2 of the strongest blockbusters of the summer...
That's the relationship people think they want, but in truth, it's just an annoying one note gag that lost it's charm very early on. Slight, often hypocritical jealousy with guest stars was fun... but fat joke/hiyah... that was only sort of funny in the beginning. Glad that the new movie added...
On the plus side, I'm sure it will be very cheap to procure one. Who'd want it?
I'm guessing that, in a year's time, you won't be able to go to a war torn impoverished country without finding everyone clad in Oogula merchandise. Sure beats Super Bowl losing teams.
Actually... no. I'd...
Yeah... production drawings, you mean?
Cels have been gone since the late 90's, when everything started switching over to digital ink and paint. On the plus side, cels are getting cheaper and easier to find (provided it isn't Disney or Warner Bros). I was able to get a cel of this scene of...
I had to semi-complete my collection through a seller in Canada. And I'm still missing like 2 sets.
They're American. Not Japanese. They would be a LOT cuter if they were Japanese. They're like obsessed with cute over there.
(from Wikipedia)
Unfortunately, you're right.
And on the opposite end of the spectrum, how dare the Muppets welcome conservatives like Jon Voight, Ben Stein, not to mention Barbara and Laura Bush both appearing on Sesame Street.
NO ONE should be off the table because someone doesn't agree with their politics. And quite honestly, NO guest...
Yeah. The one thing that wasn't established in the movie was the happiness of the characters who really made it big, other than Gonzo and Piggy. They were both happy, yet unfulfilled.
Fozzie and Kermit got the worst of the group. Fozzie because he didn't have confidence and was looking for...
The very same.
Too bad we never got the original series because it was too violent for 1980's audiences and one of the characters was a Nazi (which is why they stopped showing it in Europe).
But those little guys were all we got of a kinda popular Japanese manga/anime from the 80's...
That was from the World of Jim Henson event this year. That means that we have a Wembley, a Red, and an Uncle Matt.
So, Uncle Matt would be a perfect candidate as he's already available as a character. Red and Wembley also, but Matt specifically. If they can do it without much of a cost...
It didn't really resolve anything. I think it was a springboard for an unrealized project, but ALF was still under government imprisonment.
HOWEVER, the comic book had a MUCH better (at least happier) ending. ALF escapes and fools the Alien Task Force, considers leaving the planet for good...
I hate when the Kermit/Piggy relationship is Flanderized.
Every lousy TV interview they have to do that lame fat joke/HiYah thing that stopped halfway through The Muppet Show. And yet, in every movie (except MFS, KSY-cuz she wasn't in it, and MWO), their relationship is loving, tender and even...
My point exactly. It's like feeding the dog leftover food you wouldn't want to eat yourself and saying "What does he care? The dog eats its own feces!"
Now I could "complain" about this, but we're actually making fun of how freaking awful, mechanical, and dated it looks. I do not see this...
Bull. Someone says something stupid on some show. They shouldn't abandon a longtime partnership with a friend of the characters for that. She's done AMAZING work for Sesame Street, and we shouldn't completely forget that because someone doesn't agree with her politics.
Yah think I want Pixar...
I'm getting "You have no right to complain because I don't see the point in complaining."
Yes, why would Henson fans who shudder at the thought that he was branded as a children's entertainer for a high quality show, and hate the fact that his creations are dumped in the same pile as those...
I get what you're saying, but that's not the point I'm making.
You could fart in a sock, film it with seizure inducing color filters, add in cheap Casio Keyboard music, and call it children's entertainment. Children are easily entertained. BUT there's nothing wrong with challenging them and...
Sigh... if only they'd hammer out a right of character usage exchange. Have Kermit get a cameo in the next Sesame Street movie and have Elmo (or preferably Grover) get a cameo in the next Muppet movie...
But they COULD do a Bear in the Big Blue House crossover. Too bad Disney doesn't think...
