Like these do?
Pink Animal's blame lays in something called a "Style Guide."
Now, I've been saying how style guides are crap for a while. There's something to be said about uniformity and consistency in merchandise. But there's also something to be said about rigid constraints...
Sorry, but the inclusion of Skeeter ALONE means this is a fan made attempt at wishful thinking. These are well done and a lot of effort went into them clearly, but it's still getting a "not gonna happen" from me.
The 50's were popular in the 80's for some reason, just like the 70's were popular in the 90's and we had "That 70's Show."
Though I will say it does clear up the Smallville paradox. That is, making the characters younger when they actually would be that age and not having them be younger...
Only mentioning it because I found this in an article.
Looks like IDW is planning a [http://www.comicbookresources.com/prev_img.php?disp=img&pid=1342219854]MLP: FIM[/url] comic book.
Makes sense. IDW already has the license for Hasbro's other 2 comics, Transformers and G.I. Joe.
If they...
Egotistical people ripping of genres of games?
That's the WHOLE video game industry!
Heck, I'm not exactly liking Capcom lately, either.
A movie is too much. Unless they were to build an actual story around the characters and make them personable... even then, a cartoon series would be...
No. Funko Pop figures used to also be Bobbleheads. Unless they just mashed the two up for some DC and Marvel lines. I remember seeing a Spider-Man or a Green Lantern or something that was a bobblehead version of a Pop figure.
But these seem to be just vynal figures from my inspection.
Exactly what I was trying to say. There are wonderful flights of fancy in kid's entertainment. This is just a cynical attempt to make the next something that no one cares about, even for a nostalgia factor.
But also, that's what's so funny about it, too! Everything is so generic, the...
Rango was an intelligent animated film. That's really the only faith I have in this project. Same reason why I had faith in the last Muppet Movie. The people who wrote Forgetting Sarah Marshall wrote it. Brilliant movie, a romantic comedy that was a smartly written, realistic piece, and not...
You know what's worse than using uncommon names? Using common names. You literally cannot come up with a common first and last name that sounds natural. it sounds silly no matter what.
Bob Johnson. That sounds so fake. Those are 2 common names together and they sound fake.
Now for MY...
Naw, I was referring to tenth party animated abomination "Fly me to the Moon" about flies that want to go to the moon, and the entire concept is based off a terrible pun on an archaic pop song. But on the plus side, they made a bunch of references to Back to the Future. At least they let people...
Need I?
This production can't possibly be like MFS. Everyone involved will probably be happy enough to make it. There was a LOT of behind the scenes problems with that movie, a visionless director replaced by a horrible director that ruined a script that was already over labored to begin...
Having a movie made almost 30 years from the time the show started and having it be just as good or better is a tall order. I was more on board for this when Corey Edwards was writing the script, because he kept coming in to tell us about the production, and had his own blog where he posted...
They're hitting store shelves right now, actually.
Saw that at Boston chain Newbury Comics just yesterday.
of course, having the money to get them and seeing them are two entirely different things.
But I got a good look at them.
Didn't these things used to be Bobbleheads too? I'm glad they...
I was going to post this yesterday, but forgot to get around to it.
I don't think we'll know exactly which and how many of the Pinball Number Count segments will be included until the thing gets released. We don't really have any inside contacts anymore.
But it does strike me as this would...
It's clearly a new recording of Eric, much like Animal was. This was before the movie when he went far too high pitched.
There are a LOT of great ornaments this year. There's a Stay Puft Marshmallow man AND Lion-O from the original Thundercats too.
Madagascar is a fun franchise. It doesn't have the smug self indulgence and satisfaction of Shrek, nor the whininess. Even the Penguins spinoff cartoon series is additively fun. The third one just brought something spectacular to the films, something that was sort of there, but not quite with...
I have to say, even though I like the Spring cover to an extent, I don't like Camilla with nostrils. or even Camilla on the cover in a story with no Camilla in it.
Yeah, it's definitely kiddy marketing at work here. Seems like Marvel just basically tossed it off, didn't even bother to make a...
