I love musicals. Some of my favorites are Cats, 1776, Sound of Music, Oklahoma, The Producers, Pirates of Penzance, Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Into the Woods, Guys and Dolls, Annie Get Your Gun, My Fair Lady, Camelot, Man of La Mancha, Little Shop of Horrors, Spamalot...
I had a Baby Fozzie stuffed toy when I was little. He was so soft and adorable, I remember bringing it in to Show and Tell. With Show and Tell, every day we had to bring it something that started with a different letter of the alphabet (Sesame Street would have been proud!). I remember when...
I totally agree, the classic material isn't even being given a chance. I don't know why, kids today enjoy plenty of things that were made before their time. The TV Museum once showed "Muppets Go to the Movies" on their big screen. I remember there was a little kid watching. She wasn't...
Sorry, no offence but the personal stuff's a little too personal for me. There are people on the web who want to cause trouble, and the more information you give, the easier target you can be.
But anyway, on to the fun stuff! :)
Section B: The Muppet Stuff
1. Three favorite Muppets...
It depends on the Church, some feel there is no conflict. Just drinking is not wrong. (Jesus did drink Wine after all). It's when it becomes an addiction and a preoccupation, or you hurt people with your behavior, that there's a problem.
There's nothing wrong with social drinking every now and then. It's just that you can't control yourself the way you normally do. So there is a risk that you could hurt yourself, or more likely, other people. Even if you don't mean to, it's more likely to happen. And people should be, and often...
One of my favorite "Ugly Toy Contest" comments was, "Scooter needs to stop dragging the Electric Mayhem to the Renaissance Festival." Lol, I can so see that happening!
Are there any toys you guys personally think are the worst?
The other day, I passed by a card store, when to my amazement, I saw a Beaker and Animal stuffed toy! I'd heard these things existed, but I'd never seen them in person. The Animal one was kind of scary looking, which isn't good, he's supposed to look funny. :halo:
The Beaker one was slightly...
Wow, thanks to everyone who mentioned what talking Big Bird said! I wish I could remember for myself...But I did just remember that I also had a Baby Fozzie stuffed toy. I took it with me to Show and Tell. :)
John Travolta was already pretty famous before Grease. He had a succesful TV show and Saturday Night Fever. I'm not saying that's why he isn't participating in the show, just pointing it out. :)
The show is a bit more entertaining than I thought it would be. I hope they concentrate on the acting, as much as the singing and dancing. That gets overlooked too often. Though, I've seen no one that I would vote for. Most of these people aren't professionals, it's purely a TV show gimic. But...
On Google groups, someone posted once, saying they'd read a 1979 Circus Weekly Muppet article where Richard Hunt had this to say...
"If you don't dig sore arms, don't work with puppets. I've got a solution. When my right arm gets sore, I go out to a court and shoot left-handed baskets. That...
Recently, I watched the Grace Slick counting to ten sketch on Sesame Street Old School. It was late at night and I was barely awake, so her voice and the fact pace of the sketch made me very uneasy! It took me back my childhood and all those times Sesame Street would turn scary! lol
