    The RHLC!

Yeah it doesn't bother me much either, we've gone through dry spells plenty of times. And it's usually pretty healthy to do so every now and then. Glad you liked my 60 Minutes summary. Richard looked so happy throughout the whole thing. I do feel a little envious, he clearly found a place...

    The RHLC!

Well sometimes actors are very outgoing while they're performing, or around friends, but not as comfortable when a stranger comes along. Though again, I don't think he was including Richard in that grouping. More that Jerry and Dave didn't appear to say anything in the interview, other than...

    Land of Gorch hatred

Oh I wasn't implying that Jim was trying to copy SNL. I know he'd been working on the idea of The Muppet Show for years. It's just that it ended up being a very similar show, and in a way, a sort of justice after being unappreciated on SNL.

    The RHLC!

See, I said it was better to wait! :) Yeah, unlike other threads, we can't afford to go dead for very long. lol Um...anyone ever see the Muppets on 60 Minutes? It's very good. At one point, Morely Safer comments on the muppeteers (this is from memory, so it's not exactly right), "All are...

MuppetFest: Discuss Original and Your Dreams

The thing is, I don't remember people complaining about Kermit's pig comments in the old days. People laughed because it was genuinely funny. And you knew he didn't really mean it. Some people are complaining now, because it's not the same as it used to be. It borders on rude. I'm sure they...

    Land of Gorch hatred

That's true, The Muppets certainly proved them wrong. The Muppet Show was in a way, their own version of SNL, and it worked!

    Land of Gorch hatred

Well, as good as the 1st season of SNL was (the best in my opinion), it's a shame the writers couldn't appreciate what they had.

answer the question in my sig

Well, I think every faith has something to offer in its own way. I also enjoy studying other religions, it's a huge insight into people's culture and history. :)

Jane Curtain was in a sketch with The Two Headed Monster on Sesame Street. She's great, so funny!

GREASE: YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT! on NBC

I don't like those judges at all. I don't enjoy these shows where all the judges are cruel just for TV shock value. That said, some of the contestants show promise. It would be interesting if they got a Sandy who was a different type than what we're used to.

    Remembering Richard Hunt

I remember the Mean Genie episode! I recall watching it as child in my family room, being very very traumatized lol! But at the same time, I always remembered it being a great episode. The only way Wembley could save his friends was by standing up for himself. I hope they do release Season 3, if...

1960's Milky Way commercial on YouTube - Muppet or not?

I agree, at best the people behind the commerical may have been influenced by The Muppets. But it's not them.

answer the question in my sig

Ah, I didn't know if you meant the plural 'you' or not. Right, we can't all be figments of each other's imagination, at least one person has to be real.

It should be, "we are both figments of each other's imaginations?"

    Muppet reactions to Mr. Snuffleupagus

Aw, thanks, Fozzie! Hmm, I would imagine Cookie Monster would believe in Snuffy...as long as he could get him some cookies.

    When Muppets Dream Of Peace

That would be interesting to see if they made it. Marty Robinson was at the The Museum of TV and Radio's premiere of World According to Sesame Street, and he spoke about the performers he helped to train for the Israeli/Palestinian show. Some of them were very emotional, they weren't entirely...

    Muppet reactions to Mr. Snuffleupagus

The whole Snuffleupagus thing is insane to begin with! Big Bird goes to the adults and describes Snuffy for the first time, and the adults act like he's crazy. Excuse me, you guys live on a remarkably non-polluted inner city street with an 8 foot bird, a green grouch who lives in the...
