I used to have all three on video, but somehow that got widdled down to just The Frog Prince. But I've been able to see the other two again recently.
What's funny about Hey Cinderella is the use of adult jokes and anachronisms. As a kid I didn't understand all that, I thought they were being...
That's interesting that Bass is easier than Guitar. Either way, I'd like to try that at some point too (of course I want to get better at guitar first lol).
Aw...now this is just sweet. Life Magazine article 1990:
"As often as not, the job of the Muppeteers was to blend their beings into...
Aw yeah I remember that, the flipping letters in the air. Ah nostalgia!
Hmm, a lot of attempts to understand The Two Headed Monster it seems. All part of the diversity plan I suppose!
Yeah maybe, as long as he didn't have to actually play him. ;)
RHLC-lings,hmm. I don't really sing, but I do play some guitar. Are you holding auditions? And how much to see them perform?
Lol, I hadn't thought of that, he's invading the territory yet again!
I really like Richard's half of the monster in this sketch, making fun of Telly and Elmo's bad imitation of them. You can tell what he's saying, Telly and Elmo aren't trying hard enough, it's not just gibberish! Lol
Yeah actually that's when I like Elmo, when he's the little guy trying to be like the more "grown-up" characters. You don't see as much of that anymore because most of the characters now are young.
Like when he introduces Big Bird and Snuffy to "Elmo's Song." Big Bird dryly comments, "To...
Interestingly, I remember an episode, more of a street plot, where Elmo decides he wants to be the Two Headed Monster's third head! They teach him to talk like them etc. I remember David seeing them together and looking at the audience saying, "Did I just see a THREE-headed monster?!"
Oh yeah cool! I'm glad I replied to you, Skye!(well I would have been glad anyway of course Hehe).
Ohh, very cool '90s sketch with The Two Headed Monster! Interesting how Jerry and Richard are sort of in the head-master roles while Kevin and Marty (Elmo and Telly) play the students. (Btw, this...
Richard's niece came to the RHLC last year and told us Richard was cremated as well.
I didn't realize there was a bench for Jim in Central Park, that's cool!
Have a good time in New York, MuppetMarc!
Oh, I stand corrected! Muppet Wiki:
"In the 1980s, Hey Cinderella! and Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas were also categorised as a Muppetland special on home video releases, but those specials were not originally produced under the "Muppetland" banner."
Or when Don Music stops banging his head! Oh wait...that did happen...never mind!
I had thought of Scooter getting contacts before, lol. They could have done that in AVMMC in the world where Kermit was never born! That definitely would have been wierd. Lol
Yeah baritone sounds right. Nice...
You are a Centaur
In general, you are a very cautious and reserved person.
However, you are also warm hearted, and you enjoy helping others in practical ways.
You are a great teacher, and you are really good at helping people get their lives in order.
You are very intuitive, and you go with...
Yeah I would think they were mainly serving as a transition between skits. And yeah, intended to be funny. Personally, I find them interesting. Sometimes they seem to behave like individual dots, and other times they all act together as one cohesive "life form." Lol
All this reminds me of an interview I once saw with Jerry Nelson and several other Muppet people. Someone from the audience got up and wanted to thank Jerry for all the characters he brought to life, "even though The Count used to scare me as a kid." Jerry looked slightly annoyed (well jokingly...
