    Scariest Muppet Show Moment

You know, I really thought I was over my fear of "Windmills of Your Mind." Then the other day it comes up MC radio, and as soon as that fast music started, it all came back!!! ::shiver::

Should Sesame Street continue after season 40?

I may have problems with it, but I don't think it needs to be cancelled. Otherwise, it might really go out of the public's consciousness. It's just that for me, if I want my kids to grow up with Sesame Street, I'd rather show them the older DVDs and books (and not just because it's the one I...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

It is interesting! I definitely think it was a credit to the show that we kept coming back everyday, despite knowing we would likely be terrified at some point! As I look back now, I'm kinda grateful. In a way, SS taught you that you can't let fear keep you from the things you love. And just...

    This TMM line bugs me....

Honestly, it didn't occur to me until it was mentioned here. Even though I've heard of Bollywood movies. I imagine that's the case with a lot of people.

What year did it all change for the worst?

Yeah that's what I figured, no problem!

What year did it all change for the worst?

Yup exactly! (though I do think the adult humor back in the day was also beneficial to kids) And no I'm not from Denmark, not sure where you got that idea. But it's ok. :)

    The RHLC!

Just to let everyone know, the link for the photo was working for me before, but the site seems to be down now. Hopefully it'll go up later. Btw, nice fanfic passsage, MN! In the meantime, youtube's posted another Forgetful Jones clip. This time involving '80s computers...a simpler time, back...

    Silly question.

I definitely did have a Rubber Duckie, I brought it to show and tell to demonstrate the letter D. It didn't look much like Ernie's though, it was bigger and had a sailor hat and scarf (so cute!) And yes, I used to sing that song all the time when taking baths! lol And proud of it!

    Just a simple question.

Yeah in the end, I don't mind too much if a company uses CGI (as long as it's good CGI). What matters more is the story. Of course, remakes aren't always done well. ::shrugs::

What year did it all change for the worst?

I didn't know it was being show separately in other countries. That's interesting. Guess it's not impossible. Though that doesn't mean it will be done in the U.S., we tend to do our own thing on TV. They might be afraid people would stop watching Sesame Street if they separated Elmo's World...

    The RHLC!

Yeah, it's amazing how many people have birthdays around this time! I can't wait for mine! (Seriously, it's driving me CRAZY!) Anyway, this is a nice surprise. It's from a Jerry Nelson fansite. They claim it's from a Dart throwing event Jerry and Richard went to for charity. (Let me know if it...

    Bob Appreciation Thread

I've always liked Bob, he reminds me of one of those enthusiastic school teachers. The kind who is so into what he teaching and doesn't care how corny he looks. :) Plus, he's got the classic Sesame Street singing voice.

    Help me prove this?

Well good luck with that! But keep in mind, sometimes people get more stubborn when you try too hard. People often end up liking things on their own when there's no pressure. :)

TV characters that remind you of the Sesame Street Muppets

Oh I know you're only teasing, no problem. Hehe Yeah I don't think the character in himself is supposed to be mean or anything. He's kinda the victim in all this controversy. I liked Elmo in the '80s when he was a little kid trying hard to endear himself to the older characters. It's just not...

TV characters that remind you of the Sesame Street Muppets

Well, I didn't think Big Bird was self centered for being upset by Elmo's attention. Hehe ;)

TV characters that remind you of the Sesame Street Muppets

Yeah, you could say Grover is occasionally egotistical, especially as Super Grover. Lol Again, it's not so much that the character of Elmo is self centered. It's that he's all over the place and everyone else is in the background. So he is kinda like the young emperor that everyone takes care...

TV characters that remind you of the Sesame Street Muppets

Elmo is a little egotistical, but in a more innocent childlike way. It's not so much that he's cocky, but that it's clearly all about him. And I do see similarities between the Barney characters and the newer SS characters as well. Only I see Barney as a combination of Big Bird and Elmo.

    The Gogolala Jubilee Jugband

They may have just wanted to build different looking puppets, with more specific looking personality, keep improving themselves. Or just get some new blood (er foam) for the 2nd season.
