The ask Jim Lewis thread is now open

That's actually what I always felt too. He took on the straight man role when there was need for one. Thanks again, Jim!

I don't know what to think about this.

Well people can make whatever video they want on youtube. Within reason, I don't care. It is kinda cute and I can see where it would give the troops a laugh, which is nice. Sometimes fighting for a cause is necessary. And I can see characters we like standing up for that occasionally. The...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Oh yeah, I remember the Maria/Charlie Chaplain sketch with the traffic sign. Haven't thought of that in years, thanks!

Miss Piggy and Charles Grodin... mismatched!

Lol, well actually I disagree that he didn't didn't sell the lyrics, it was good mixture of passion and campiness. But yeah, definitely mismatched! Though I often think Piggy would have gone with Nicky had Kermit never come along. She might have secretly thought Nicky was the best she could.

    The Chipmunks' Triumphant Return

I don't know if they ever showed Miss Miller adopting the Chipettes, but they did live with her after the tree house.

    The RHLC!

Aw, hehe, that's nice, MN. Don't worry I've done things like that too, and my relatives exchange similar glances! Lol I had the ODDEST dream last night. It was in Fraggle Rock, after the Fraggles had made peace with the Gorgs. Some of the time I was me and others I was Gobo (that happens a lot...

    The RHLC!

Yup, lol, that's Scooter, always trying to please everybody! ;) Does the voting have a limit time? I'll probably do it as a secret ballot, that way everyone's happy. Lol

    The RHLC!

Heh, well it's nice the campaign's appealing to both demographics. But on the other hand, I don't want you to think all girls like to do is have makeovers. Everyone knows Piggy's not so prissy in real life. Still thinking...

    The RHLC!

Well I am a rully big Richard fan, but you have to like, broaden your mind occasionally. :flirt: Em, the two girls for every guy thing isn't thrilling me. (Yes I know it's a song lyric). Though the superstar makeover thing sounds interesting.

    Jim Thurman (1935-2007)

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Teeny Little Superguy!" Sounds like he had a great career, RIP Jim!

    The RHLC!

Ohhh I see, well I adore Miss Piggy as a character. And seeing as how Beaker just bowed out of the race for whatever reason, I might be persuaded to vote for Piggy. But there would have to be a good reason to NOT vote for Grover. Hmm...

Lol, I hadn't thought of the SNL parallel there! Yeah I can definitely see where Placido would be more fun to play. More fun than...em...that other puppet you mentioned. Can't remember his name.

    The RHLC!

Yeah, well not to get too morbid, but these things are often hard to predict at the time. I really liked this song, it's so catchy, Lol. And Bob's so funny. Though attitude-wise, this really is the Maestro at his worst "...take no humility!"??? Lol. I laughed when he told Bob "We certainly...

    The Chipmunks' Triumphant Return

::shrugs:: I don't understand the recent trend with bringing back old kid's shows for the movies, but then putting them in a completely different enviornment, such as live action or in the real world. The writing's either been poor or the audiences were confused. Fat Albert is one example. It...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I don't remember seeing Sammy the Snake as a kid, but when I watch him now I can see how he might have scared me. Personally I think what makes him kinda creepy for me is the dark background. I don't he would be as scary with a more colorful background. Of course, that couldn't really be helped...

    A golden Sesame Street moment.

I just saw that last night, I love it! Richard had such a good voice. :) (Though Placido has a bit too much attitude!)
