There is one huge difference. That movie would have really been interactive instead of false interactivity like Oogieloves.
There is NO way that would have worked. I dunno how Clue worked before Home video, but a choose your own adventure movie seems completely impossible when it comes to...
I'm still shocked that there isn't a more important march against Romney. All I'm going to say. No wonder the polls show him either close or slightly ahead. I think the Dems are throwing the campaign at this point.
I seriously doubt it. Most of these things don't even bother to watch a bloody episode of a non-obscure TV show, let alone digging up some rare TV specials. Half the time these things are in name only.
Only time I saw them do a LOT of continuity research was the Bullwinkle film. They had that...
I have nothing BUT excitement for this movie. It has to be really terrible for it not to be the best movie M. Bison and King Koopa have ever been in. :D
I don't see why he doesn't go after that stuff, but I ALSO don't see why he's so head up his butt stubborn about not making LEGAL C&H merchandise. I'm not saying he has to make Happy Meal Toys and Gum filled plastic heads. Why not a classy Calvin and Hobbs collector's statue or Palisades style...
It was the other shoe waiting to drop that bugged us. Nothing was happening with Steve that we know of, and it was just those two times. But let's just say Steve's not going to be around forever, so I guess they were trying with a back up just in case. Other than the fact it caught us off guard...
I dunno what happened, but the personalized homepage is back to where it should have been. I was getting the horrid Google Plus version of it for some reason.
How about Ernie, Bert and Abby? Bert would give the necessary comedic tension. Or maybe just Bert and Abby. The only thing I can see Ernie and Abby doing is having Abby screw up a spell and doing something to Rubber Duckie, but they already did that with Mumford a decade ago. But then of...
I wonder if it would even come over here. Looks like it's going to be a toy and maybe a Japanese exclusive cartoon series or something (though I still can't see why a Kingdom Hearts show is that out of the question).
If it doesn't get recursively imported back over here, I REALLY want them to...
First up, I might as well give some corrections..
That actually was a live action segment where someone with writer's block was typing on a laptop.
The H for house one was both live action and animation. The lame "what's in the garden" segment looks like it was CGI.
As far as Abby and Elmo...
Oh, I definitely agree. Winter vacation may have got a few more tickets here or there (winter was kind to the lame Gnome film), but over all, I don;t see any adults willingly taking their children to this no matter how hard they begged (if they actually did).
Still, the fact they encourage...
Another reason, but something tells me he was going to try to make a TV series and needed a reason for it. The participation bit was the selling point.
But like I always say, Americans are completely confused by movie versions of TV shows that aren't 30 years too late, poorly cast, and mock...
I'm trying to remember which one it was. I only heard that snippet of that song on one of those TV music collections who knows when. I knew the other, though. Seems they're doing some Jimmy Heart parody songs in the last couple of ETM segment, rather than vague "in the style of." Like how...
I think it also has something to do with Mike Peters and Jim Davis being peers or friends or something of some kind. Grimmy had a cameo in one of the DTV CGI Garfield movies.
I'd venture to say Jim recommended Mark to Peter.
To be fair, he is considering to release the other 2 straight to DVD. It's hard to say if damage has been done or that home video will find an audience for them. This guy clearly wants to ram these characters down children's throats, and he's not even waiting to see how DVD sales/rentals of...
Again, the reasoning behind it is understandable. There clearly was no way that any of the networks would touch an Oogieloves TV show, since the big mascot costume kiddy show is way passe. Yo Gabba Gabba is sort of popular because hipsters with kids watch it (considering someone from Devo...
Yeah, I hate when they do that. Usually that happens when they buy the rights to a license to make a movie, sit on it for years, and then fart one out before the license expires.
