Oh yeah I did forget about Jerry Juhl, certainly! Actually I was referring to Richard doing the training, since that was a big part of what he contributed to the Muppets. ;)
Ah it's one of those kinds of stories! Interesting! :)
::Groans:: Hehe
Yeah I know what you mean. I always imagine Jim trying to get another project together (and luckily these things don't get rejected in Heaven lol). He has plenty of willing participants, but all they need is someone to train them, hint hint. Hehe ;)
Oh yeah another favorite episode is when Skeeter trips on one of Piggy's skates and Piggy swaps hers with Gonzo's so she won't get in trouble. But Gonzo keeps making all these pictures and sculptures of her (with a roller skate hehe) and she's worried that Gonzo will get her in trouble. Gonzo's...
I don't know if you'd rather wait, but someone did post "The Honk of Honks" on youtube...

Yeah it is sad to think he might have done other things if he'd lived. But I remind myself of a letter a kid sent to the Henson company when Jim died. "I...
I remember the episode where Fozzie decides to give up comedy, because Piggy gave him an "F" for not being funny. They're arguing about whether any of Fozzie's jokes are funny.
Fozzie: They are so!
Piggy: THEY ARE NOT!
Kermit: Uh, why don't you tell Nanny a joke and let her decide...
That's how I feel too. When I have children, I will definitely make the effort to introduce them to quality. I won't assume whatever is on the TV at the moment must be OK.
I'll let them discover things on their own too of course. There are plenty of shows I love that my parents didn't enjoy...
Oh don't get me started! Lol Television in general still has no idea how to protray positive female role models. And sadly a big portion of the young female audience (and their parents) don't care.
I'm annoyed about the 12 year old demographic as well, lol. Unfortunately that's always been the case. That sort of demographic is more profitable because kids are very eager for merchandise and they have parents very willing to make lots and lots of purchases, lol.
Those are all good ideas. Letter writing campaigns can definitely be effective. However, I honestly don't think Disney would never do these things. I used to think that way, that certain things could never happen. But I've changed my way of thinking lately, since I never thought half we things...
Well I finally got to catch a bit of the show today. I definitely enjoy listening to Rosita's voice, it's very nice. And Alan is a joy to watch. And I was relieved that the point of the beginning of the episode was to show that families aren't happy all the time.
Still feeling a sort of...
Wow, that's great that you have volunteered so much and continue to do so. I really want to start doing that more. I have worked at a few acting/Summer camps over the years and it was very rewarding. It wasn't all fun and games, heh, kids can be difficult to handle. But it's a wonderful feeling...
I agree, it's too simple to say no one is enjoying the Muppets. In real life, you can always find groups of people who enjoy something. But they are not a presence on TV or in the video stores (new or old projects). That's what needs to be improved with Disney in my opinion. It's still possible...
I understand what you're saying. But from what I've seen, a lot of people, old and young, enjoy the Muppets now. They're just not given much to work with.
The episode where Gonzo hides the cookies is wonderful. In true Muppet spirit, they didn't hold back. Gonzo really did make a bad choice, though he convinced himself it was OK. But in the end he manages to redeem himself.
I don't blame Disney for the problems, they existed before Disney came into the picture.
However, I think Disney could be doing a lot more. And it's not just a matter of wait and be patient. The Muppets just don't seem to be up there on priorities. They could have released so much of the...
I actually didn't agree with any of those (except maybe Diana Ross, she's not really an actor after all). But to each his or her own. :) There were other moments I found painful!
Let's see...when Scooter decides to team up with his Uncle to wreck the theater, I could definitely never see that...
Yeah I know, hehe, I was actually thinking that. But I figured they'd end up calling the DVD set itself Season 4, since "officially" there were only 4 Seasons. Odd how that turned out, lol.
There were a few choices for volunteer work, my second and third choices were soup kitchen and animal...
Well, it could just be that Kevin is busy with the additional responsibilites he has taken on. :)
Yeah, it's upsetting that characters like Big Bird are so easily put to the background.
