Oh, it's definitely the Rocky and Bullwinkle theme. The extended soundtrack version of it specifically. I have no idea why they used it. I'm surprised they even got it cleared.
They never were. They're essentially a hate censorship group that's so anoyed by people pushing an agenda they don't like that they force an agenda no one else likes on the country. They're one of those "every one's a fascist except the ones with fascist tendencies" organizations. I hope this...
Already hated him via the Jack and Jill fiasco.
Still, HT is a kid friendly, colorful film. Frankenweenie was ghoulish and probably nightmare inducing to the little ones. While I preferred Frankenweenie, if I was a parent of young kids, I'd go to the one where the monsters are goofy so as...
I think he means box office. They were, after all, competing films with similar subject matter. Hotel Transylvania won a bigger audience and a long box office stay. Not to mention it won over little kids.
That's Million Mom March again. It just goes to prove how completely out of touch and cartoonishly buffoonish their movement of not at all a Million people are. They're basically whining and decrying something that goes all the way back to Looney Tunes. Before that even. I love how these...
I know what you're talking about. But for all extensive marketing purposes, anything up to and including Chowder and Flapjack are "classic" CN Cartoon Cartoons. Adventure Time, Mad, and Regular Show aren't Cartoon Cartoons, but rather "Cartoon Network Originals."
So, sadly, by that logic...
The whole film, tone and subject matter was kinda unfriendly to little kids. If anything, the black and white made it slightly creepier. It plays good to a solid 8-12 crowd (Paranorman maybe 10+), but Hotel Transylvania was its immature cereal colored cacophonous kid friendly best. If it...
I give them credit for trying to be consistent with the Boom releases. I wouldn't have minded if Four Seasons was made directly into a magazine format, but even though that would be cheaper and more accessible, I'm glad they went for the standard comic format. Though I could have done without...
Actually... it does. It's the same reason why Disney goes after Day Care centers for painting Mickey Mouse, yet completely ignores the lead paint covered bootlegged Incredibles toys, Chicken little "Sea Life" stickers, and Pooh plush made from poo fabric. One's just easier to deal with...
Yeah, I gotta get on watching more of them. I slacked off this weekened because I really wasn't in too much the mood to watch them. But considering they're nearly there and they've got plenty of time to go, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a surge in activity near the end of the week.
I was barely able to go and see it. I had to see it on a weekday the last week it was in theaters. I swear I heard it was supposed to come out in February, but somehow they wanted to start the marketing campaign for the movie's prequel that month.
While I'm on the subject...
The sad thing is that Hotel Transylvania is a feather in Sony's cap. Considering it's other films are Open Season (and it's two even worse DTV sequels), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Surf's Up, and their remake of Enchanted with The Smurfs, that's not really saying much. I saw it because...
Only a few years... and it's only going to be available in Europe.
At least its something.
I honestly see no problem with Disney's ownership of the Muppets when the only movie Henson got off the ground gets a DTV release.
I blame jerks that put up full movies that are in theaters at the time. They wind up going after people who download songs that are completely too obscure and out of print and unavailable in their country because they fail to go after jerkwads that put up The Avengers shot from a theater.
Of...
Some say the black and white turned kids off. I'd say that in between the choice of a story of a gaunt looking kid trying to reanimate a dead dog shot in black and white vs a blindingly colorful movie about way too many monsters where the tasteless fart joke is put front and center in the...
I really liked Frankenweenie, but it didn't get the usual Tim Burton fan following because it wasn't yet another Johnny Depp emo-fest, even though they did try to merchandise the movie to the emo types that ate up Alice in Wonderland. Heck, Frankenweenie was almost Tim Burton Classic...
It is counted as one. I'm sure that every CN show will be under consideration if they do another anthology/compilation series like the last 2 CN comic book titles. Of course, we've heard less than nothing yet except for license acquisition and barest of plans.
Tell you the truth, I haven't respected them much for some time. I keep hearing about how Seth's performance was self indulgent. Oh yes, by all means, a ceremony that's Hollywood basically patting itself on the back for pretending to care about the holy moley good pathos fests they make so...
Maybe he was too safe. The best bit was the lambasting of Flight as sock puppets. I agree he second guessed things and was a little too nervous, but when he's being that safe and people still call him tasteless... you know something's off. I give him a lot of credit for the opening skit...
