Yep. People that watch reality shows ironically or as a guilty pleasure are feeding the beast just as much as people who would watch it seriously. It completely creates a Frankenstein's monster, and those who don't want to watch it have to deal with it.
Still, there is one thing that I like...
They're trying hard to protect the delusion that someone's going to buy their films not-ironically.
Though, nothing is quite as bad as the time Viacom STOLE a video off of youtube and put it in some crap MTV show, and then forcing them to remove the original video on the grounds that they owned it.
I know I should wait until the next episode airs and give a season review to say this, but...
I really wish they'd drop the fake sponsors. They're just not funny. I mean, it's just like a 10 second window for the show to gain otherwise, not much they can do there... but if they were trying...
I wouldn't have minded if he was just the big bad of the first movie! Seems that Space Dick Dastardly had more screen time and was a bigger threat. That *&^% Pod Race totally ate up screen time for more worthy characters and worthy plots. The best character in the movie gets killed off...
I just watched it... how do I explain it? Since it's a Muppet site, I'll use Muppets.
This is me watching a regular comedy cartoon series, say Fairly Oddparents...
This is me watching the new Teen Titans cartoon...
And to hammer the point home...
I'd say it's about time to start viral videos again or some sort of TV special by the time the movie comes out. A Tweeny show that only tweens watch is a good way to give them exposure to tweens (and frankly, I'll accept them on a tween show before I even acknowledge they were on The Botulism...
Something tells me they're going to need to shove the characters into an Ultimate Spider-Man, the new Avenger series, or the Hulk series somewhere to get kid's interest.
I'd hate for a cartoonish raccoon to derail the MCU.
I buy used toys all the time, but I'd prefer to buy things new and in their pristine plastic packaging. Frog knows what kids do with these toys, and a lot of them you can't just clean by submerging in water.
I'd expect these toys, if they don't sell well (and again, not a good price so yeah)...
And then Shea will complain about how terrible it is. I genuinely want to like Shea... after all, his was the only Disney Channel sitcom I actually enjoyed watching. But the actor just hasn't found his niche. He stars in these action films that get terrible reviews and then calls them out...
It's a pet peeve. I've seen terrible. And by terrible, there is no enjoyment whatsoever that anyone could ever find in it. Shocking, horrible, beastly things. Hairpulling things that make you question your existence and lose your faith in humanity.
Here's an example...
Here's an even...
The news that Mickey from Seinfeld was going to play Splinter did it for me. I could overlook all that other stuff... but he's not Splinter material.
But at least they're not going to be aliens like they originally were.
The film needs another rewrite and another recast. No reason Megan Fox...
For various reasons, this film is not going anywhere anytime soon.
For those who are late to the party, Henson had a Partnership with a certain movie studio that only exists to crank out Oscar bait. Essentially anything that isn't Oscar bait gets a nice, cynical screw you (see the butchered...
THANK YOU!
Thinkway is a terrible company. I didn't like their 8 dollar 3" Wreck it Ralph figures. They didn't look any better than the Disney Store collector figures sets that retailed for 12 bucks. Really, those Disney Store sets are the best toy buy out there.
As I said in the other...
You know you're in a very thin majority, right? Terrible? Seems someone's confusing "matter of taste" for "quality." There are far more terrible, low quality adult cartoons out there. Such as the abyss known as Allen Gregory, which everyone hates for good reason.
I absolutely hate when...
Hey, I give them credit for not making The Thing a pasted on CGI. Look how many movies it took to get the Hulk to look right.
Guardians of the Galaxy I barely know about. All I know is it has an anthropomorphic raccoon, named after a certain Beatles song of course. And said raccoon ticked...
I don't see why they didn't go for that, since it's their clear intent. Though, I must say I've never been a fan of that comic. Still, it would be a forseeably better cartoon than this.
I still hope to find some enjoyment in it though. Still wish they at least kept the original anime/FLCL...
Facepalm of facepalms...
Maybe I'm not making myself clear...
What would you say if I said Octopus sockdrawer undershoe tacohut? It's as if someone's taking my posts and putting them into google translate. If I sound a bit frustrated, you'll forgive me.
Just... let me try and see if I can...
Because everyone's whining about me going off topic, here's something on topic...
Fox has officially lost the rights to Daredevil movies.
Not for the lack of trying... they were trying to get something together before the license ended, but were stumbling over so many roadblocks and rewrites...
I'm calling *&^% on this.
It's like explaining an elephant up to the slightest detail, but for the lack of some small intangible detail I'm somehow lacking, everyone thinks I'm talking about a blue, flying kangaroo with the head of a lemon.
To make this absolutely clear, I'll everything my...
