I just got to see Muppet Family Christmas at The Paley Center for Media (formerly The Museum of TV and Radio) the other night. Thankfully, it was the uncut version. I still remember seeing the special on TV years ago, such an exciting night! Just wanted to share a few moments that stood out for...
Lol, love those blue-striped Adidas! (And notice they all seemed to wear them? Must not have been as many choices back then!)
Oh totally, I spend way too much time hesitating and fretting over things. But I have learned to take chances more and stop hesitating. Not every time, but there's...
Oh for sure, it wasn't perfect, lol. It could have been a lot better. The thing is, I guess with my being a purist and all, hehe, I'm not going to be too harsh on a Jim related-era Muppet project, when compared to a post-Jim one. ;)
Right exactly, it's basically a quality over quantity argument. :)
Hehe, no you're not raining on my parade. The show is what it is at the moment (though who knows what will happen down the road). But I do intend to show my kids mostly the classic material.
I have to partially disagree, hehe. True, the other SS special could have used more Muppets. But what they did have represented more of the Sesame Street spirit than the Elmo specials. Just my opinion. :)

I agree, I think we're settling way too much lately. We're given material that is less than stellar, and we call it brilliant, because it's all we have. And we forget that only a few years ago, things were a lot better.
And in 1965, Steve was 6 years old! (...Awwww!)
"The moving finger writes, and having writ, moves on. You can't hold back the clock. It just ticks on and on. The moving finger writes, and having writ, moves on. So treasure memories...for what is gone is gone."
"Sunrise, sunset, sunrise...
Here's out I define the political problem. Repulicans politicans pretend to have morals. Democrat politians say they don't need any. Talk about "every way you look at this you lose!" Lol
And yes, I do get angry when politians use religion to get votes, it's very wrong. It's just that I'm also...
I got a good one, lol. I was driving with my Dad recently, and we were both having trouble deciding which direction to take. We kept changing our minds over and over again, it was a big mess, lol. At one point, I exclaimed, "Dad, you're wembling!" He was like "Wha....?" Lol, And it hadn't even...
I do agree we are developing a false sense of morality. I just think it's coming from both liberal and conservative politicans. Just in different ways. We're getting both fanatical secular and fanatical religious. From my point of view, it's best to side with neither group and think for...
