Oh wow, I hadn't realized. I think I found the story you were referring to. It's possible the child was imitating something she saw on Dora, but at the same time I find it hard to believe the cartoon would be that irresponsible to show something like that. Then again, anything is possible...
I have been wondering about that quote myself. It's a little confusing the way they wrote it. It could mean they are still hoping for a theatrical release. Or it could be they will try to make sure the DVD is theatrical quality.
However, to me, if they are saying they are just in the...
That statement is slightly confusing. But I think what they're saying is they are still hoping for a theatrical release, but haven't been able to guarantee it yet.
Yeah I think we mostly all agree. CGI should be used to help a movie, but not take over. Ultimately audiences prefer a good story. George Lucas even said in an article that he concentrated too much on the special effects for the Star Wars prequals and not enough on the story.
Lol, I know what it is. At family parties and stuff, I always see adults doing that with kids, "Oh you don't like me? boo hoo boo hoo!" You know, just to get the kid to laugh or say "Yes I do like you!" My problem was I was so sensitive as a child that I would end up crying because I was afraid...
Well, the blank screen is a let down to us, but was probably much more interesting when they first showed it at the wrap party and and all the live puppets came up. :)
I do think companies are far too confident in CGI, with the idea that it could eventually replace everything else, including actors. CGI, even good CGI, always has a slight cartoon quality, you know it's not real.
Exactly! There is a difference between adult humor and immature humor.
Absolutely some change is good. It's frustrating to me when people say "Oh you just don't like change!" If I agree with the change, I'm fine with it. The problem is, I very often haven't. Especially with the cruel and...
The problem with CGI right now is that it's still in its infancy. If it's not done well because of lack of funds or technology (as happens very often), it's very disapointing.
Well I was surprised when I first heard about their relationship, just because it was new to me. But I adored that scene they had with the typewriter. You really believed Maria was a young girl shyly trying to get a boy to like her, it was all very natural and real. I almost wish they had been...
I think he did, I read somewhere that there was also a book on Alfie, written by John.
Hehe, anyone think Forgetful is being just a little clingy in this clip?

I agree, Big Bird was never officially the main character. It's true he got a great deal of the attention and focus I think because he was one of the few characters who was genuniely a child (rather than "ageless" like B&E) and the audience could relate to him. And also because he was the most...
I definitely agree with that, I've been saying it for ages. Just as Roosevelt Franklin once said, "I am not old...but I am wise." It's a lesson Sesame Street needs to learn again.
You could say Roosevelt Franklin was the first Sesame Street victim of political correctness, heh.
I do tend to...
Well believe it or not, the CD is much more balanced when compared to the special! Lol
I don't mind all the John songs on the CD so much when I compare it to the special. In the special John goes through this endless song and dance number with a bunch of backgrond dancers dressed as tin...
