Oh wow, I didn't know. Well I'm glad I got to see more of David on the 2nd Old School DVD. He definitely had a lot of talent.
One amusing moment is when they're trying to decide who in the group doesn't belong (it's Glady because she's the only non human) and one kids points to David and...
True, well sometimes his hair was pretty short, and it's probably also the style of his drawing.

One of my most favorite lines in all of Sesame Street. :)
Nice find, MN! That is adorable, lol. I always liked Joe Mathieu's illustrations. It's amazing that he included so many familiar faces! Interesting how he doesn't show them puppeteering; maybe he wanted to keep that illusion secret. ;)
One aspect of TV show filming the book does get across is...
Well Jim apparently did say his concern was that the puppetry in Little Muppet Monsters looked much better than the animation and it created an imbalance. Whereas the Fraggle cartoon was just animation by itself.
My Mother recalls reading that that was the reason years ago, unfortunately she doesn't recall the source.
I have the DVD and it definitely wasn't cut. ::shrugs::
Whatever happens, an attempt at a movie will never wreck the memory of the original for me. If it's bad, I'll just forget it ever happened. :)
It's hard to judge right now, some might say Fraggles are gaining some momentum with the DVD releases and all. We'll just have to wait and see.
I always thought it was an overreaction for parents to ban the Simpsons. I watched it as a kid and didn't end up a deliquent.
Don't like Gummie candy, but loved Disney's Gummie bears!
Sorry, I love all of those on my hamburgers :)
I do think some older people get annoyed with kids...
It's fascinating how even when you're very little, your individual personality starts to become evident. And of course, there are good parts to be overly sensitive. ;)
"Dream Girl Lover" is great because it's this sweet little romantic song, but sung with this crazy lisp, so you can't help but...
The way I look at the Ninja Turtles (which I always loved) is that little boys (and some girls of course, not to discriminate :) ) have always and will always enjoy play fighting. When I was a kid in the playground, the boys played "Cops and Crooks." It was not a reference to a particular show...
The other day I was in a library and saw a book on the artist Renoir. And of course the first thing I thought of was Animal's big proclamation in Great Muppet Caper! Lol
Probably just a lack of time to go back. Also you often see that with Muppet music numbers. As we know, they record the songs in a studio beforehand and then lip synch to the recordings during filming. But sometimes the puppeteers don't quite remember how they sang something and the lip synch is...
An A&E documentary on Santa Claus says the author of "Twas the Night Before Christmas", Clement Moore, introduced the concept of Santa coming down the chimney into popular culture. But that Moore probably didn't come up with the idea himself. It's likely a story that was passed down from...
