Okay, I'm officially not reading these stupid Box Office stories anymore
As much as I like the idea of Turbo flopping, the film was released only today and considering how early it is, I don't think anyone's seen it yet. The film is already considered a failure because of speculation...
The guns were Bowdlerized due to the shooting in Aurora. It was out of sensitivity, not the usual pandering to anti-violence in cartoon groups. Plus, it doesn't look like they toned them down that much. There is such a workaround showing guns on a kid's show, that most of the time, they shoot...
It's very eerie that we're making films for everyone else.
We're basically one of the only countries, if not THE only country that makes stuff with other countries in mind to export. Yes, Pacific Rim will hopefully do better overseas. There's no reason why that should fall into the fact that...
Thanks for reminding me. I knew there was a reason I hated Pokemon that I forgot. It completely ruined America's perception of Japanese animation. It's either the only anime anyone will watch (gateway Anime my foot!) or everyone automatically thought that EVERYTHING Japan EVER did was some...
I bought the HB Saturday morning Collection (mainly for the Ed Grimley episode they put on it, and it was 5 bucks), and while some of the cartoons were genuinely good (or at least non-ironically enjoyable), some of the cartoons were so bad it's good (Mr. T and especially the Chuck Norris...
It was. I was talking about this upcoming season's worth of 13 episodes. A disappointing order. Plus, they've only released the second season as burn on demand, not a full in store release like AD and FG. The last show to get that distinction was The Cleveland Show, and that season turned...
Hey! It's as Sheldon said, Heroes gradually lowered the quality until people stopped caring. I honestly could care less about these big genre shows. Though... eh... Again, Transformers Prime is as close to one as I want to be. And frankly, it's better written with stronger characters than...
I HATE how they call it Sunday Morning. There's still a whole day for the movies to make more money.
I'm hugely disappointed that Grown Ups 2 is doing well. People would rather see Adam Sandler make fart jokes than a crazy tribute to Japanese Monster vs Robot films. Seriously, I've never...
Let's not forget the big reveal that was the biggest screw you to the audience ever. Even if you were involved with the show, that ending is the worst TV show ending of all time. I mean, bar none. I've seen shows end on unsatisfying cliffhangers that ended better than that.
Did it have that one obviously grumpy character that complained and learned some sort of lesson in every episode? Yeah. I love how these copies of the Smurfs had nothing that made the Smurfs special.
I'm pretty disappointed about this, but it looks like they're not even going to bother after this season. I'm a HUGE Bob's Burgers fan. I even Co-splayed him (pathetic for someone my age, but add the mustache, and I'm pretty much perfectly looking like him, so it was hard to resist). But it's...
I'll give you this about Transformers Prime... I'm hugely disappointed that the show ended before we could have TFP versions of Grimlock and Wreck-Gar. I hope the next series after this will have them to some degree. And bring back a TFA style Sentinel Prime.
That's why I like his show Mike...
(Walks in doing best professor Farnsworth voice)
Good Ne-e-e-ews everyone! These are out in stores now. I just came from a local chain store (Newbury Comics) and they totally had all 5 of them. They look much better in person.
I did like his 90's movies, but Adam Sandler just doesn't have it anymore. The last good thing he did was that vampire movie, and it was a long time since he did anything else decent.
DM2 will probably get a huge bump, being a family film and all (please clobber that snail thing next week)...
Hopefully, Pacific Rim will clobber Grown Ups 2. I didn't see it, I just might next week, but I'd hate to see another massive box office flop. Even though Pacific Rim is very much a niche picture
We need more mods, sure. But we also desperately need some changes to the format so said mods have an easier job.
I still think we should track this guy down. Not just ban him, but see if we have any legal options to get this guy taken care of.
