Yeah we did. I used to watch Transformers and GI Joe on that channel along with The Bozo Show. Great chnnel!
I was pretty much the same way. Suffered through the Tracy Ullman show for the Simpsons shorts and was excited when they finally got their own show. The funny thing is the first time...
I fondly remember Hardrock, Coco and Joe and I've lived in Mississippi all my life. I've never been anywhere near Chicago. They used to air it during The Bozo Show all the time on WGN ( I think it was WGN ).
I started watching the series before I actually saw the movie and I really didn't have much of a problem enjoying it. I do highly recomend seeing the movie if you get the chance though. It's one of Dreamworks' best.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Cracked had an article that pointed out the same thing about the Rudolph version of Santa. But then again most of the characters in that show were jerks. Rudolph was a freak until they needed him.
That's just terrible. I think I prefer talking cars to an anthropomorphic snail. While I'm not a huge fan of Cars, the movies do sort of appeal to the side of me that likes robot/living machine stories. But the Cars characters are too over anthropomorphised for me to really get into the movies...
That Turbo poster makes it look like Dreamworks is going back to it's crappy Shark Tale roots. It's hard to believe the company that produced great films like Shrek, Monsters Vs Aliens and How To Train Your Dragon can also produce crap like this Turbo nonsense.
These specials also seem to imply that Santa is incompetant. Seems like he's always screwing up and needing to be rescued or to have the main characters doing his work for him in some way.
In most Christmas specials it seems to be implied that Santa IS Christmas. The entire holiday revolves around him. They never seem to take into consideration that others are perfectly capable of buying for each other without Santa.
What I've always wondered about is why adults don't believe in...
Using CGI for the characters would ruin it. Part of the reason the original is so impressive is they didn't have the CGI crutch to fall back on. They had to be more creative with the effects. Since CGI became a thing pretty much every special effects movie has become Roger Rabbit. A live...
I still like Family Guy, but I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. I'd probably get the movie on Pay Per View since I never go to theatres. I wonder if they'll try to aim for a PG-13 rating like The Simpsons movie or go all out and aim for a hard R like the South Park movie. I have my doubts...
Muppet toys are one of the few things that tempt me to break my "No buying toys that aren't electronic pets" rule. I broke it for the new TMNT stuff and if I was to come across a beanie of the Swedish Chef I'd almost certainly break it for that as well. Even that Kermit pillow pet has me tempted...
They do have that Kermit Pillow Pet but that's the only thing I've seen.
They need to lay off the Cars crap. I actually caught Cars 2 on TV the other day. It wasn't terrible but there's no way it deserves more merchandise than the muppets. Some of it actually bugged me. Why do the cars eat...
Yeah that Paypal only thing stopped me from using eBay too. I'd love to rebuild that collection of original Furbys and other electronic pets that I sold and now regret selling but I don't trust Paypal. I've heard too many horror stories.
There are posers everywhere. In fandom, in religion and pretty much everywhere else. Sadly all we can really do is grit our teeth and deal with it. For some strange reason if you punch these people in the face suddenly YOU'RE the bad guy.
those types are the ones who give religion a bad name. They don't seem to realize that by shoving their beliefs down people's throats they're turning people away from religion rather than making them see the light. I also have a problem with those who use religion as an excuse for bigotry. I...
The Paranormal Activity movies are fun to watch once. I don't think I've ever seen any of them more than that though. I doubt they'd hold up to repeated viewings and they aren't nearly as scary as some would have you believe.
