It's wierd that this thread should come up because I saw this for the first time last night. I really enjoyed it. It wasn't perfect, but then, what is? I think I may have to face the fact that I'm just incapable of disliking a Muppet movie.
Twice Upon a Time. Not a bad movie at all. Just very strange. I've only seen it a couple times. It's pretty rare, is never shown on TV and I don't think it even has a DVD release.
I can't complain. I'm disabled. I don't drive. Someone else usually does the grocery shopping. I put most of my monthly check toward bills and food. I only have about $80 a month to spend on fun stuff so I have to be picky. I don't get out much or socialize but I like it this way. I prefer my...
I do it on occasion. I do it for comfort's sake not because it's fashionable. Of course I only go out once or twice a month. I'm pretty much a shut in. I go to doctor appointments and once a month I go hunting for new electronic pets or toy robots. That's about the extent of my trips to the...
Maybe the penguins are de-evolving. Slowly being reduced to a more primative state. And really, in the Muppet universe it's probably better that this happen to penguins than to frogs.
I had the same problem when I first got The Hub. I was excited because I knew they aired Fraggle Rock, but found out that by the time I got it they no longer did. But they do run The Muppets Take Manhattan every once in awhile. And they also air ALF every Thursday which I really enjoy so it...
Well I've seen food ads that have made me want the food and toy ads that made me want the toy. Those ASPCA ads are merely telling me something I already know. There are scumbags out there who abuse animals. I know this. I hate it. But being on a fixed income there's not much I can do donation wise.
Those ASPCA commercials with sad songs playing over images of abused animals are heartbreaking. They're also absolutely useless. People who care about animals and have the means already donate and people who don't care about animals won't be swayed by a sad song and a sad eyed puppy. These ads...
Space Jam made money because it came out at a time when the Looney Tunes were fairly popular. I can't be the only one who remembers that period in the 90's when everyone had at least one T-Shirt with the Looney Tunes characters in hip hop gear on them. Back then networks like TNT and TBS were...
The Yoda Furbys were terrible about having the latex face rip. The latex they used was crap. The ET Furbys had a thicker rubber face that held up much better, but every ET I had but one was defective . They kept resetting themselves and getting stuck in an infinate loop.
I'm not sure if Frank Oz...
Hughes net is kind of a ripoff. We pay $80 a month for it and as I said you can't really watch videos or anything. The only reason they can charge so much and provide so little is because for a lot of people they're the only game in town.
I'd love to have something like that myself, but I suspect that even if they did release something like that it'd be out of my price range. I can tell you that when the Gizmo Furby came out a lot of people were hoping for a Stripe as well, myself included. They had Yoda and ET Furbys. Why not...
Well, you did have to feed him. He had a sensor in it's mouth that you had to press in order to feed him regularly. If you didn't feed him he'd get sick. But fortunately you could feed him after midnight without him trying to kill you. I know this because mine often kept me company during late...
I had some of em' for awhile, but I ended up giving them to my Cousin's kids. As much as I like the Gremlins ( It was one of my favorite movies as a kid ) my interest in action figures is slowly dying and try as I might I can't seem to rekindle it. Besides, after having Tiger Electronics'...
For some of us streaming video isn't really an option right now. I live out in the middle of nowhere. We can't get broadband or Wi Fi. What we have is Hughes net satellite Internet . It's great for surfing the net, but you can't download movies or videos without hitting a bandwidth cap fairly...
