A lot of people have a fear of puppets and dolls. Considering all the movies that involve them coming to life and killing people it's not surprising. I'm kind of wierd. Puppets that look too human creep me out, but take that look and place it on a robot and I'm fine with it. I love robots no...
The summer movie season hasn't even really kicked into high gear yet. How greedy are these executives when a movie making just 5 million less than it's predecessor is considered a dissapointment?
I don't think you can really blame Pixar for this. Doesn't Disney own the characters as well as Pixar itself? They can pretty much do whatever they want and there's probably not much Pixar can do about it.
This is a bigger and more shameless cash grab than Cars 2. And Cars 2 lost Pixar a few...
The creations of Jim Henson are responsible for some of the few good memories I have of my childhood. When I was five and going to Day Care at noon they would herd us into a dark room for nap time. I hated it. I hated the dark, hated having to lay still and be quiet and, well, just hated...
I'm looking forward to this. Not so much for the competition aspect but just to see all the creatures they come up with and the process used to create them.
My father was abusive, both physically and mentally. So I'd get bullied at school, come home, and have to deal with my father. He'd do things like come into the bathroom when I was taking a bath and scream at me about how fat and disgusting I was. At one point half my face was black and blue...
What did they do? Did someone sort through hyena poop in order to find Scar's remains and stitch them together in order to make a cloak for Hercules? That must have been an unpleasant experience for whoever had that task. ;) Then again Zazu did seem like the vindictive type. I wouldn't put it...
I understand. I used to be a skinny kid, but at one point there would be these kids who would jump me and beat me up every time I left the house. At one point they cornered me at the local swimming pool and almost drowned me. I couldn't go outside without fear so I simply stayed in the house...
You're right to like rats better than mice. Rats are intelligent, affectionate creatures. Mice are jerks. I used to work in a pet store and every morning we'd come in and find at least one mouse laying half eaten in the cage. They'd single out the weakest mouse in the cage, gang up on it and...
When I was five I had to go to day care every day. In the middle of the day we had nap time, which consisted of us laying on mats in a dark room. I hated this. I was never tired and I hated the quiet, so it was absolute misery. I'd often get very upset during these times.
But then I found a way...
What bugs me about the Hub is that they never seem to show Animaniacs anymore. The past few times I've tuned in they've had a movie on in in it's place. And not even a good movie. How many times a week do they really think they need to show those stupid Open Season movies? They could show them...
I hate rain because since we live out in the butt end of nowhere our only options for TV and internet are sattelite. And rain almost always knocks out the sattelite signal removing both of the main sources for entertainment. Thank God I like to read.
Nobody likes poo gas.
As for my least favorite things
1 People who are cruel to animals. If you torture an animal, you should have the same thing done to you. Did you set a cat on fire? Then you should become intimately acquainted with a gasoline bath and a lit match.
2 Cabbage Patch...
Thank God. I got the Hub right after they stopped showing Fraggle Rock and when I realized they weren't showing it anymore I was upset. The second I found out we got the channel my first thought was excitement because I was going to be able to watch the Fraggles again. Imagine my dissapointment...
One of the strangest dreams I ever had involved muppets. But they were only in the background for some reason. I was being attacked by these things, some sort of demons or monsters or something. I transformed into this large hairy patchwork beast, like a horror movie version of a teddy bear...
I will state that unlike many people the uncanny valley effect does not work on me at all. I LIKE freaky animatronic/roboty things. But I hate dolls. Unless they're the previously mentioned animatronic/roboty variety. Plain old cloth and plastic dolls are freaky as heck though.
I no longer post my fears on public forums. That way they can never be used against me. That is unless I encounter some ancient horror that can read minds. But in that case I'm pretty much screwed anyway.
There was a show on a couple days ago ( I think it may have been American Pickers ) where someone mentioned banging on drums like Animal. I wasn't really paying attention to the TV. I was on the computer and for some reason even though I was totally engrossed in what I was doing I managed to...
That would be funny if it was a human. If it was a frog that looked totally different it'd also kind of make sense. All frogs look alike to humans. We're kind of speciesist that way.
