It was the gophers who stole Kermit's collar. It was the Crystal Gayle episode and the story was the gophers kept stealing everything in the theatre. It was funny when they stole Kermit's collar he ducked down and Scooter said "Gee boss, I've never seen you naked before".
I suspect they re-used last year's schedule and forgot to remove TMS from the listing when they updated it. I don't think there were any actual plans to bring it back.
I forget which season it was, but it was on TMS. It was two monsters on a black background but they had real human feet. I don't think there was any tickling involved.
I don't know if this means anything, but I'm checking my online TV guide for my digital cable, and so far, TMS is not on the schedule for CTS, in any time slot. It's possible the guide may be inaccurate, but it's goit me a little worried. I guess we'll know for sure next week.
I always liked the "Caveman Days" sketches where Ernie was the king and Sherlock was the "Royal Smart Person". I remember a couple of those. One, he invented the "Exit" sign so they would know where the door to outside was. He also invented the toothbrush(after inventing several other...
I believe a different version was recorded for a Sesame Street Christmas Album. Actually two, now that I think about it. One for the original release(probably in the late 70's early 80's). And another for a re-release with certain parts re-recorded with different characters for an updated...
Again they did it on the Muppet Show with Lynn Redgrave. You got the Kermit and Fozzie roles correct. Scooter played Alan O Dale, I believe. Gonzo was the Sheriff. I don't remember if anyone played Will Scarlett.
Piggy played "Sister Tuck", though she schemed to get Lynn Redgraves role...
Plus the gophers stole it from him during the Crystal Gayle episode. I loved Scooter's line after it happened "Gee boss, I've never seen you naked before".
One thing that seemed strange about this song was that Kermit seemed to be really ticked off during most of the song. Almost like he didn't want to be there. Maybe it's just my imagination, but it sure seemed that way to me.
I remember reading an interview with Jim where he said "If you want to make a sketch funnier, just add penguins". Or words to that effect.
How can you argue with the master himself. Penguins all the way!!
Ernie makes a vague reference to Kermit during a camping sketch where Ernie was identifying the sounds he heard at night. When he heard a frog croaking, he says "Bert, does that remind you of anyone we know?" and does his trademark laugh.
