Glasses are just fine for some muppets, even though Floyd grew eyes at one point, so did Clifford. And strangely there were periods of time Animal kept his eyes closed for a long while. Perhaps Muppets are allergic to light.
Writing scenes is something I can get into more than writing show outlines. Here's one for Muppets Tonight.
Rizzo: Okay, it's time to set up for the big melodrama act.
Clifford: Terrific, who do we got to play the damsel in distress?
Rizzo: Um....nobody....
Clifford: Okay, how about the...
Don't worry......for the longest time I used to be baffled by the way they'd do full body shots of Muppets. I had no idea the cables and extra performers were involved in any way.
I only saw MTI in the theaters, the other ones I only saw on video, and the most recent one I saw was Muppet Cristmas Carol. STILL haven't seen Kermit's Swamp Years yet. Noone in town carries it....
I haven't seen the episode but I hear Chris was on the short list of guest stars Piggy had a crush on. No pention of Superman, as he'd become that character only a coule of years after.
Here's a couple trivia questions from "You Don't Know Jack" 5th dimensia which ask the tough questions about the muppets.
"Which Muppet Never has to wash behind his ears?"
Beaker, since he has no ears, probably out of him being a test tube baby.
and "Which muppet was taught never to...
In the Gilda Ratner episode when she asked for a 6 foot talking parrot to ding opera with and instead they give her a 6 foot talking CARROT.
The John Cleese episode when Kermit tries to get John to sing a duet, which becomes a chorus.
"There ain't nobody here but us chickens" If only for...
According to sesameseventies.com, Disco Frog was performed on the Christopher Reeve episode of The Muppet Show. I know they also did a version of "Me Left Me Cookie At The Disco" for Sesame Street. But c'mon you guys are always knockin' the leisure suit. Now, I know fashion trends come and go...
I assume he wanted to do "the amazing race" with Muppet Characters....that is, muppets in every vehicle from cars to boats to planes to hot air balloons.
Well Dr. Phil is married to Mulch's sister......But anyway I am so sick of hearing questions like "Is Snagglepuss Gay?" "Is Spongebob and Squidward gay?" Every character past and present that shows a little flamboyance we label as a possible homosexual. Well, the truth is, we don't know......for...
Well, the most recent one was pretty funny.
ALF: How do you like this shirt?
Some sports guy not worth caring about: It's too loud.
ALF: (speaking softly) How do you like this shirt?
Also he was a riot at the NBC reunion where he was seated between this CNBC guy and David Hasselhoff.
Here's one right out of left park: The alien leader from MFS I hear sounds a bit like Scred. Perhaps this leader is a descendant of Scred sent to rule over a planet of his own species, therefore Gonzo's heritage originated on the planet Gorch.
