Earlier this week my husband was able to find me the note cards, pencil case, 3 pairs of socks and magnets... but no notebooks, which I was bummed about. No pencils, either. Only 1 of the 2 Targets here had any Muppets stuff.

I think at the root of the issue, the father is viewing this from the point that what Make-A-Wish is offering them is "charity" and he's trying to put things into perspective. (Honestly, I wouldn't blame the father if he's trying, on some level, to say he wishes they would have stepped in...
