I think that sounds a bit like an adult who thinks their kids will really love vegetables cos they're extra crispy when they really want to eat fries. Sure WE might think kids need something like Fraggle but the movie business isn't about forcing kids to go (although i can see some parents...
They don't have fans of all ages, thats the point. I can see the benefits of keeping it original in terms of puppetry but the writer says he won't be "shrekking it up" and in the next breath talks about writing jokes for Fraggles. I think it's obvious (and will be insisted on by the people in...
I think maybe Henson might allow a license if it was a really high-end collectors thing - but probably Labyrinth, Dark Crystal characters rather than Fraggles. I think we would be talking editions of 500 or less, and prices into the thousands though.
I think Steve or Bill, and possibly the people behind the new Muppet and Fraggle movies. Also would love to see Ken Lilly as a guest about the Muppet figures, and Travis or Terry about the Photo Puppets.
I guess we will see Fozzie sometime towards the end of the year now, hopefully at a similar price as i guess that isn't a "lock" right now if they need to negotiate with a new factory. I just hope they get him right, don't care how long it takes - i wonder how long they have the license for, as...
You say it's a parody but the title didn't make clear it was a parody, and to be honest it was just confusing rather than funny - it was about Star Wars but you called it Mupcon. There's been people in the past who've done fanfictions about Muppet events and things and they were all moved into...
That was a big in-joke - lucky by name, lucky by nature. ALF ate everything in sight on the show (and most stuff the Tanners tried to hide, lol). But he never ate Lucky (although when Lucky died he did want to digest the remains), ALF ordered Kittens (from an ad, like ordering a Pizza, lol)...
I'd love to see a new Roger Rabbit film, it would really need to do the original justice though, its such a good, and unique movie. I like the idea of him fighting the animation studio shutdown of the 60's.
I saw a video of this Elmo a while back, the animatronics looked fantastic but its clear he's plugged into something for the audio and just miming to a soundtrack. I guess the sound on the real toy won't be quite that pure. I'd love to see it in person, its amazing a toy is now capable of...
To me, although i really feel the Angelina story has no credibility whatsoever, i'm just happy that some journalist or publicist somewhere has thought the idea of associating Angelina with this new Muppet project is a believable idea, and whatsmore the mass mainstream media is printing it ...
Gotta lotta luv and respect for Jim - the movies, shows and TV spots where he (and the other main Muppet writers) have been involved have always been more enjoyable IMO than the stuff written by others. The web stuff lately has been bang on the mark - that classic TMS feeling back without it...
I've never seen a full Spacecats episode, but ive seen the puppet intro bit and they look fantastic, and very funny. Shame the show was cancelled when NBC scrapped their saturday morning kids programming block.
