I'd been thinking Rowlf would be good to have, but theres not much you could do with him in terms of poses and themes. Although he would look TREMENDOUS sitting at a Piano! I am liking the Scooter idea, i think he'd be very popular with the fans and would fit in quite well with the group. I...
LOL, yea they must just cross their fingers and hope kids will channel hop at the right time. It's really mad, i mean even disregarding the Muppets this is a Hannah Montanna and HSM special and there is nothing even on the websites about it. Crazy times! :insatiable:
Then again, i guess...
Great idea Christy, i don't collect the Muppet pins right now but i think i will get some. I can do without Kermit dressed as Mickey though, thats just scarey. lol
In terms of Adults possibly, in terms of kid orientated stuff i disagree. The entire pacing, format and style of kids TV has changed wheras most adult stuff still borrows heavily from the past. I would say the media do have some influence on what styles of things are popular because they are...
Probably not the smartest thing to have posted that, seeing as he's had to hide himself now. Remember its not just us guys who are responsible enough not to hassle someone who see these threads, we do get the occasional wierdos (i mean, weirder wierdos! lol)
I hope Jerry's doing fine, its an...
They look great and its an inspired idea .... but will the kids not work out somethins up when they taste them and don't taste that fried potatoey goodness they love? IMO, there's nothing wrong with an occasional Burger and Fries, we all grew up with it, just as long as kids aren't eating it...
Erm, there isnt a lot now really that the Creature Shop has closed, but there is Jim's Townhouse, the bench dedicated to him in a park, some Muppet movie locations. We do have a little more merchandise available here than in the USA.
The idea there's no promotion to this, not even for the Miley bits to Miley fans, makes me think this was something that was meant to be big, didn't turn out quite as good or wasn't needed and just cost to much to throw in the trash. I could be wrong, none of us will know till we see it, but...
I love the idea of Hot Air Balloons with Muppets above it, and a Gonzo puppet piloting a blimp. They could easily do that to promote Muppetvision 3D/4D or whatver they have planned.
As you say, i think Edwards is well aware he has to do something with it to give it a bit of an edgier faster pace, and then they have the Hensons there who want to make sure Jim's original vision is represented somewhat (especially as they have a few seasons of DVD's they might sell), i don't...
It's Puppet Heap Piggy re-design, we had her in the UK TMS S2 DVD tour and she originated i think from the French thing. Not a great likeness of her i agree, too modern and features too emphasized.
I like the majority of the clips on the site, there's a couple where i think they could have...
What Disney is probably now doing with this is using the "Disney Stars" to get the kids to watch and get the advertisers in to pay for it, and then focus grouping kids to see what they thought of the Muppet bits. Maybe some of the feedback will be used to develop the film and whatever other TV...
I agree entirely, and i would also agree this isn't a Muppet special really, it doesnt even have their name in the title. I think the point is this isn't a great introduction of the Muppets to kids. Sure it gets them noticed, but having them play second fiddle to Hannah Montanna isn't going to...
