True, I don't think Brian has worked with them since they were sold to Disney, aside one Telethon appearance as Sal. I guess they would have to hire him as a freelancer or something.
I hope we haven't seen the last of Brian's characters!
I can just see the meeting now at Jim Henson Company studios -
Brian - I know, lets do a puppet show with a nun who sleeps around
Lisa - OOoh yeah, and we can get Snoop Dog back to play the priest
It would have been dirty if u said "show me your Muppet doodahs!"
Here's mine - he's Melvis Presley, Elvis nerdy obessive compulsive and downright depressive cousin! You know all the sightings of Elvis at Gracelands where they say he looked dummylike and blank .... well that was just...
At first on hearing about this i thought here's yet another stinker from JHC (Animal Jam, Tomie De Paulo) but on seeing it, my my, this has serious potential, The puppetry, writing and direction are beautiful. I've always thought JHC are great at kids telly when they get it right (Hoobs...
I spoke to someone in FAO the other day about UK shipping, but it was mentioned that if you come to the store its made while you wait. The concept is exactly the same as Build A Bear/Bear Factory. :insatiable:
Well if Bill was the writer he is to blame then hehe, but yeah, these things are always usually scripted, they hardly ever totally ad-lib it, especially not with the kind of shots where you've got Rowlf on a skateboard and Rizzos feet skating ... very intricate.
I didn't know whether it was...
It is definitely hot glued on, they aren't sewing them. The job advert says they'll be glueing them even.
I don't think there is any question of how long they will last either, they won't be using Antron at that price and i can't see them using any foam. I think these will have a very long...
16" tall, thats veeeerrry cool.
If all goes well i can see them coming out with a velcro type interchangeable version in some kinda kit, seems like the natural thing to do. I'm sure that'd cost though what with all the extra parts.
I think the voice is great, Bobo always did sound a little bit like Rowlf. I agree he's playing it a little too dumb but then thats the writer not Bill.
As far as i know, the concept is not interchangable Muppets.
You take the Whatnot home with you, they make it in store while you wait. The features are being glued on with a hot glue gun. If you order online or through the mail the person making the Whatnot sees your design and puts the...
I think you will be able to buy individual parts in the stores, but not online. Like Build A Bear Factory. I can definitely see them expanding it with a lot more options once they know the sales are good.
From what i've heard its interchangeable clothes, but glued on features.
Is Kermit...
Hey Trav, makes a lot more sense then. But what exactly is the license they have for Disney? Obviously there are loads of companies making plastic and plush items of their characters so i take it theres some category that defines it more or its just not exclusive?
The point kinda still...
Oh yeah well FAO (and Amazon, TRU etc) is always gonna be a generic response, massive company, but it looked like the smaller retailers and collector sites were actually making enquiries so that was the point. :smirk:
Agreed and understood, i've always thought it was a risk doing the posers in the first place, and it's great they even made any, but to be fair, although there isn't the biggest Muppet hardcore "will spend over 20 bucks" fanbase i'm not quite sure what Master Replicas was expecting taking on the...
Love PeePee .... funniest moments with him were the long john silvers ads, VMX or that TV dating show they had him on judging underwear models. Have never seen a clip of that since!
Looking forward to the book!
