That's a good idea, because even if they do release them season by season, it would take a while to get all five seasons out. So if you get a season one set, you'll still have tapes of the later episodes. I'm hoping their season one eps will have the original opening credits which have been...
I don't know. It sounded like Carroll doing Oscar, that was probably just a recording of his voice. It was probably someone else doing the pupateering.
Yeah, I caught Bob and Maria, Luis and Alan. I wondered why Susan and Gordon didn't show up. I liked that they did "The Street We Live On" song. That was a really good choice.
I don't know about that one. That would mean that :concern: really is an alien, and Bobo's really a sidekick for that villian that Jeffery Tambor played. (I can't remember the name though.)
Did you mean "The Muppet Show" DVD? The only one I have in DVD form is Volume 6, so I haven't seen too many of the Muppetisms. Could somebody describe this Kermit/Piggy scene in more detail? Thanks.
Let's see. Miss Piggy was based on Peggy Lee. There were quite a lot of Sesame Street Muppets based on famous people: (Ex: Meryl Sheep; Polly Darton, etc.) I'm guessing there were many others.
Hmmmm. I wondered about that too. I know the "Muppet Show" was filmed in England, but in general it doesn't seem like that's where the Muppet Show takes place. Maybe it's in New York, so Kermit can hop back and forth from "Sesame Street" to "The Muppet Show." Just a thought.
They did "Dance Myself to Sleep" with guest stars on the "Street We Live on Special." I don't remember who the guest stars were though. I'll have to check my tape on that again.
Are you sure about that? I haven't seen a Kermit News Flash since they changed the format. I thought the last one that was shown was in the hurricane episode.
That was good. I liked the part with Oscar, but maybe you could have put in an explanation of why Gordon changed. After all, he was played by a different actor in the first season. Other than that, I enjoyed reading it.
That's funny. I thought Big Bird was 'dumber' in season 1. Well, I guess I wasn't born then, so I wouldn't know. Lol.
I've noticed he usually gets the name right now. Most of the time he says "Hooper's Store" instead of "Looper's Store" or "Blooper's Store" or whatever.
Yes. Kermit still pops up on the show sometimes like in the "Do de Rubber Duck" song and in the 35th anniversary special, but they need permission from the Jim Henson company to use him. In answer to your other question about Snuffy, you might want to look at the "Big Bird and Snuffy" thread...
I haven't heard of it, but I did check her filmography at imdb.com. It seems like she's so much more than just Prarie Dawn and Zoe. She has also done a few cartoon voices. I'll have to look at that info again sometime when I get a chance.
You mean Big Bird actually remembered Mr. Hooper's name in one sketch? Wow! He's smarter than he seems. Anyway, I was very young when he passed away. I guess the only ep I really remember with him was on "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" when he gave :( back his paper clips and he gave :p...
