    Gordon of SS Storybook

Another thing to bring up is it seems like Matt was pretty popular when he was on the show. I grew up watching Roscoe as Gordon, so that's what I'm used to, but I'm guessing a lot of people who watched Sesame Street in the 70s must have been shocked to find out about the change.

Mumford's Magic Cookie Act With Cookie Monster

Hmmmm. I don't remember one with Cookie Monster. He worked with Grover a lot. I do remember one with him doing a platform act with Grover. Then after Mumford left, Grover tried the same trick with Herry which didn't work out to well. Is that the one your thinking of?

    Obsolete Muppet skits

Actually, I feel these sketches could still be aired. After all, the first one about the newspaper mentions Hooper's Store which is still there. They don't really mention Mr. Hooper himself. It might be hard to air the second one though, unless Oscar's line of dialog is changed to say that...

    Snuffy and Big Bird

Neither did Matt Robinson. Lol. So was the episode where Snuffy was revealed the first with Elmo? (I mean the Kevin Clash Elmo that we know today.) It's kind of interesting that he helped Big Bird in that ep. Now it seems like Elmo has taken Big Bird's place as the star of the show.

    Funny episode with Hiroshi

I think I remember that one. I remember Telly yelling at everybody to keep quiet, even the birds that were singing. I remember Hiroshi pretty well. I wonder whatever happened to him.

    Another Pizza Hut Commercial

I agree. When I saw the title of this post, I was thinking "Wow! Another commercial with Kermit or Miss Piggy." But I was wrong there.

Muppets' Wizard of Oz cast list

I agree, It seems like Gonzo is the only Muppet left who's still performed by his original performer. (At least the only "Muppet Show" Muppet left) Let's hope dave continues to perform :concern: for a long time.

Searching for sketches with Frank and Stein

Hmmm. Let's see how many I can remember... There was one where they were fighting over a newspaper, then a guy came in to read the funnies. There was another one where Gordon showed them how to make a decision by flipping a coin There was also one where they were making a snowman, but...

"Unpaved" isn't coming back, Big Bird

Lol. That was really good. Maybe you should make a fan fiction out of that.

    Happy Birthday Cookie Monster

I'm sort of confused. I thought Cookie Monster first appeared on the first ep of Sesame Street. If it's his birthday, isn't it everybody else's birthday as well? Please clarify.

Bert and Ernie get their names

According to imdb.com, it's just a coincedence. But if that's the case where DID the names come from? It's kind of hard to believe they just pulled the names "Bert" and "Ernie" out of a hat.

    Olivia and Snuffy

Yeah. That's a good question. I remember Olivia and Snuffy singing "One Little Star." But that was about it. She was probably in the episode where everybody finally met Snuffy, but I haven't seen that one in years so I really don't know.

    Question about 1975 Christmas album...

Speaking of which, I was listening to some Sesame Street music samples from Amazon yesterday and I heard Elmo singing Big Bird's famous ABC-DEF-GHI song. Freaky.

Your Favorite "My Favorite Sesame Street Moment"

I agree. I would like to see more clips of Kermit or older sketches or whatever even if they're not really part of the show.

    Jerry Nelson Recasts

I know what you're talking about. I saw it at a mall yesterday. It sounds really good. I'd like to watch it sometime. It would be nice to see Caroline Rhea playing a witch once again. Anyway, I'm falling into my usual habit of getting off topic. Actually, I didn't think the DVD was so new...

    Monster Piece Theatre

Okay. Thanks for the info. I really don't remember that one at all. I guess they stopped playing that sketch when Kevin started performing Elmo. I do remember a lot of the other Monsterpiece Theater's that were mentioned here though such as "39 Stairs." I've also read the script of "Twin...

    Monster Piece Theatre

Let's see. I liked Grover in "Upstairs, Downstairs." I also liked when :) and a female Muppet did "Gone With the Wind." By the way, wasn't there an MPT sketch with Richard's Elmo? I thought I read about something like that at the jump the shark site, so I'm curious.

    Shirley Bassey episode

Thanks for the tip. Maybe we'll all move to australia. :D

    Early Songs

I've heard that one on Muppet Central radio. I believe it was Big Bird singing on the version I heard.
