Good to hear about Patrol Fozzie in the playset! It just always seemed right to me that way.
I can see the other side of the Statler ans Waldorf arguement as long as there's an ad for Waldorf on the packaging somewhere. The picture in wave six will look kind of strange without both of...
How disappointing. I'll be calling EB and TRU this week and hope they won't give me that type of runaround. EeeeK People that pretend they don't know the difference between The Muppet Show and Sesame Street annoy me. It's just as logical to say that Bugs Bunny and The Simpsons are the same show...
It still looks a bit too kiddiefied for my taste, but I am keeping an open mind and I'm still looking forward to the release. I wish they'd be more specific about the date of release!

I made the changes on the chart. Most of the guesses look pretty close to the decisions so far. I still say that I would prefer Pops to come carded with his prop booth and Thog to come whith the backstage playset (Gaffer could come with either of...
Zack-
Ken has previously expressed that Patrol Bear was bumped down to series 5, but was left out of the last report. I believe that was an oversight, but who knows. If there is a vaudville Statler than Patrol Bear will be bumped again. I always thought he should go with a playset. Maybe he...
I just hope that Dr. Teeth is the only variant that will be exclusive to an event. I can understand that such figures encourage people to attend these events, but it's also maddening because most of us fans aren't able to hop on a plane to get this groovy guy. LOL! I'll try to find someone...

Clifford was hardly in Muppets From Space so I certainly can't say he ruined the film, but since he was in Muppets Tonight it was neccessary for him to make a brief appearanc. I do think it was a mistake for Clifford to push Kermit out of the spotlight in MT, but I eventually came around...
I was referring only to the Muppet Show cast in the last statement. I tend to do that because I find them to be "The Muppets" I guess because of the title of The Muppet Show and subsequent movies. Does anybody else feel that way? Just wondering.;)
Back on topic, I really wouldn't peg the...
Ken-
Oh, by the way- I was thinking that since Sweetums would come with the Theater playset (and that probably helped package such a large figure) that Thog could come with the backstage and Pops would come in the regular assortment with his little prop room as an accessory. Just a thought...

I think the Statler and Waldorf pairing are quite different from the R2D2 C3P0 duo. For one, R2 and C3 were both main characters in the original trilogy. They also had scenes that weren't dependent on each other.
Statler and Waldorf are rarely seen seperately. I just think it's a better...
Do you mean the 80s or 90s? Up until the mid 80s the Muppets were still for a more mature audience. I believe that the late 80s and 90s began to kiddify them.
Ken-
OOOh! Glad to hear about the addition of some exclusives! Still I wish that the Theater, Statler and Waldorf were coming out this year. I guess that makes more time to get the stage just right. About the wave6 Staler report. WOuldn't it be best for Statler and Waldorf come out together...
They always seem to vote off the cool people first and keep around the old wrinkly meanies! Not that everyone that is wrinkly is a meanie, but if I'm going to dedicate an hour of my life to watch a bunch of people on an island - they at least need to be attractive. Not some nasty naked guy. LOL!:)
Yeah, the more I think about what's missing from the Muppets, I'm beginning to believe that it's even more than just the strained Misss Piggy/Kermit dynamic. I think the Fozzie-Kermit team has been nonexistant for quite some time. He barely appeared in MCC, was featured in MTI, but certainly not...
Muppet Parodies
I think the Muppets are fare game for parody, they have done many themselves. I take such things as you guys have described with a sense of humor. I must admit that the "Muppets Go Medeval" spoof on The Simpsons used to bug me, but that was only because it portrayed the...
Ken
I say go for it! As a few people have expressed some disappointment of the "new" exclusives, I think making a bit of a leap in these versions like this one with Zoot will make them even more worthwhile! I'd also change his hat to the little cap he wears now. I'd have to find a picture of...
