That's what I feel. Like they're completely avoiding the fact they said they were going to release it 5 years ago because they know they're going to get called on it and get angry letters they'll just wind up ignoring anyway. Like I said, Disney just does not like releasing box sets over...
Let's be honest. A TV show was never in the cards. The television landscape is too volatile for a Muppet themed show since the last 2 didn't manage to last that long. And The Muppet Show owes all its success to a special kind of syndication that doesn't exist anymore. Only original programs...
That first one was just beautiful. I love seeing Muppets being filmed outside of their studio comfort zones. Gives them an extra level of realism in their suspended disbelief. Especially loved seeing ol' Big Bird included in that one.
Ryan's Elmo is pretty darn dead on in the clips that used...
It's nice to see they got out of the Kermit/Piggy comfort one by having Bunsen and Beaker. Have they ever been on a talk show before? Like, maybe GMA, but not a talk show. We need more of that.
That and the Swedish Chef bit were good, but I think the unexpected surprise was Bobo. Now in...
Might as well...
Hey! You know why Oscar was fired from McDonalds? He refused to sell Happy Meals.
What major Hollywood event would you get by crossing a grouch with Cookie Monster? Oscar Noms.
Telly: Oh, Oscar! Why do you enjoy causing pain so much?
Oscar: Come on, Telly... you can't...
The show was mainly to restructure the brand, and there is a lot of it that's uneven because everyone involved wasn't sure of what they were trying to do. Were they imitating The Muppet Show, were they going on their own thing, were they doing a mix of both? I really feel the newer characters...
I'd have to see the movie to judge. I'm mixed on what I gathered so far about their origin... but I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel initially put off with IDW's reboot's origin. And somehow, it's similar. Only the IDW origin they were just test subjects for mutated soldiers... later...
May I add that Step Up's like 5th sequel or something looks like a coked up fever dream after watching a bad sports anime?
Seriously... a dance fight to the death in a wrestling ring played straight like it's a realistic thing? Way to go that far a reach for a plot line in a glorified concert...
Yeah. That stuff can stay in it's own little corner of suck. But when it starts oozing out to serious information wikipedias, that's no bueno. I get the whole obsessiveness about crossing over characters that aren't interesting or clever together to the point where I actually want them to...
Eh, I'll ask, because at least this member probably gets what a joke is...
though, for the sake of the thread, please put the set up and punch line in the same post.
So what is it?
The thing never managed to be the shame of the internet like I hoped it would. There's barely anything about it and it didn't even get so much as a RedBox DVD release. The thing was born into obscurity, and it died in obscurity. Considering the director's shoddy treatment of his animators...
Yeah. I wonder why they didn't just take their Super Hero costumes from that Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy episode...eh, they have something else in mind.
That thing on Spongebob's head is obviously a bubbleblower, if anyone's wondering.
Yeah, and to be fair, the writers gave Constantine all the good lines in the duo. Ricky was good as the ever suffering sidekick, but even his brand of sincere sliminess just doesn't compare with a character like Constantine stealing the scene in every scene he was in. Stole the whole movie for...
Off topic, but Sesame Street hasn't had a true anniversary special the last time either. They didn't even show the season opener in Prime Time like they said they were going to. And even then, the 35th was just an episode of Sesame Street (even though it was built around it being an...
As I said, somehow, episodes must have been Harmony Golded into movie form or something. Either that or two movies were made concurrently. I dunno. Info about the series is sparse at best with any searches related to The Jungle Book either going directly to the Disney movie from the 60's or...
While I do dislike the constant CGI versions of characters in the real world, Spongebob seems to be doing it right by making the characters look like themselves. No added irises in the eyes which always looks much more unsettling than just giving them cartoon eyes. As long as the action...
Like Shaft? How 'bout Barry White? That's very family friendly right there. Sesame Street did punk music at a time where punk when it was a moral panic. You can say the same thing about disco, actually.
I really don't get why SW is so cheap that they can't afford many puppeteers...
Short thoughts. Great season, some guest stars were great, some were just forgettable. And completely going over the head of anyone who isn't obsessed with 70's culture. Best to think about the best episodes of the season, and to forget some of the fifteen minutes of fame guests that were on...
I may just be lurking around on that site (I was the one who found the Weird Al preview with the Wolfman Jack cartoon), but I agree that was a wise move. Bad apples ruin the bunch, and cliche ridden Creepypastas and lazy fan fiction pollute a site like that. Those had to be discouraged, by any...
