Three things.
TMNT is an established brand with well known characters, not to mention how aggressively Paramount/Nickelodeon marketed the film, especially on their networks. They went as far as pulling new episodes of the cartoon series just to give more publicity to the film (which frankly...
Maybe because it's a bad film that's a waste of Don Bluth's talents? It's overall an unnecessary and painful to watch film, cynically made to cash in off the Princess Movie Boom Disney had at the time. Even Gilbert Gotfried couldn't get me to laugh. It's not even fun to watch ironically...
Latest one premiered last night: Here it is
I liked the concept of Donald only wearing a sailor suit because Daisy bought if for him, but only because it's strictly for the non-canon humor of this cartoon to work. It's too easy to poke holes at the fact that Donald has a Navy background in...
Ehhh... I dunno. Seems like they'd kinda try to stay away from anything unless Mike has a very good sense of humor about it. Which is kind of why I'm a little iffy on this series. Mike did some pretty rough stuff, but he seems like he's moved on from that and wants to leave it in the past...
Sigh... G'bye Guru Lou...
They could make the character silent or not appear at all, sure. But that's probably going to be more out of respect than cheapness. They'd still have to pay a voice actor one way or another, and it's Canada, where voice acting's kinda cheap compared with...
A couple weeks ago, I was in a Newbury Comics and saw something strange. One of those Retro Mego style action figures of Mike Tyson from some strange cartoon series that didn't exist yet.
Last night I found out where it was from. Mike Tyson is the star of a new [as] cartoon series, a...
It really seems that there's subtle character evolution with Jeff. I took Jeff's obsession with Clarence as Jeff being so straight forward and straight laced that he needs the chaotic factor and unbridled optimism of Clarence to brighten up an otherwise dull life. Like he didn't really get...
Eh, whatever some craft loving person wants to make of it. Still freakin' ugly. I swear there's one that has the actual title of the thing. Maybe I'll try to go back and find the name of it. Swear it had the title "adventures" in it.
Not that way, though. Something completely separate from the show. This is going to have a street story and maybe a segment. I was talking something more like "Play with me Sesame" only made up of 2 segments, no street story, with some clip in between.
Anyway, seems Abby's School is done...
Doesn't look like Indiana Jones to me. The hat's too small. Something tells me they just pulled out Telly's costume from that episode, and it doesn't look right on Cookie.
What I really dislike is the "look at how far we've come" TV special clip shows. Those are meant to be seen once and only once, and are usually before a milestone episode or the series finale. Then they put them in syndication. I HATE always seeing those dry collections of Seinfeld...
Bootleg and Ripoff are two different things. Bootlegs are usually illegal outright (yet companies barely do anything about it), where as a ripoff is legal in the sense that there's enough benefit of doubt to keep from lawsuits for the most part.
Now the fabric I'm describing isn't a serial...
I don't think WB would bother with Animaniacs anything more than a T-shirt. Clifford sounds like an obvious choice for a kid's film, and I'm surprised that it didn't happen sooner (minus the barely released in theaters cartoon based one). It'll probably devolve into a talking dog film with...
I can't find any internet proof this exists (as I don't know the name of it)... but a fabric store I was dragged to actually had knockoff "Barnyard" licensed kid's fabrics.
All I can say is, how low is the bar set for mockbusters that you'd actually make one based on "Barnyard?" I mean, I dig...
Haven't seen the film so I can't judge, but frankly a TMNT movie couldn't get good reviews even if it was good. In the 90's, they were seen as a flavor of the month fad. Last film, they were seen as a weak reboot of a fad that didn't hold up to the last fad. I doubt that even if someone made...
Off topic... yeah. That third season was just bad, with the exception of the admittedly good Mega Man 3 episode (though they screwed up one major thing no thanks to bad translation- the "Doc Robot")... and the Castlevania 3 episode was fun if you like that version of Simon. But the one about...
Is the DVD this episode's going to be on. Cookie may or may not be in the episode, but I'm loving how he's obviously Rorschach minus the mask in this one.
Abby should be fairly obvious.
That one was made by NBC without DIC's help. They did a lousy job, ans as DIC didn't own the rights to it (not that they'd want to) it wasn't included on the DVD, and would have faded into obscurity if it wasn't for someone that had it on VHS and uploaded it on Youtube. And yes, the narrated...
Disney is still trying to push Planes 2 as some huge success with a weaselly "number 1 animated movie 3 weeks in a row." ONLY animated movie. ONLY. Heck, it's the only kid's movie out period.
