Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4701 - Be Kind to Your Worm

Doug Walker kind of explained this once, and he said when filming in HD, it's best to bring down the camera's exposure a little darker, because otherwise, if the exposure is set too high, the picture is really washed out; not to mention, that it's easier and more effective to increase the...

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4701 - Be Kind to Your Worm

I hadn't, but then again, the show's overall look has really suffered since they've switched to HD, but I really can't figure out just where the problem lies. One thing that bothers me is the street looks dark all the time, like they're experiencing a perpetual sunset . . . I don't think it's...

That's so weird, because Seth Green also looks like a teenage Seth Green!

    The New Weekly Survey Thread

    1. The biopic that Oliver Stone about Jim Morrison and The Doors . . . it was a tad unnerving, I must admit. 2. Cheap Thrills in a sense, if only because Mushroom Hair sounds like Mushmouth from Fat Albert when she sings; "I goh yoo buhbeehhh. . . ." There's also a recording of one of Elvis's...

PBS launches first-ever national 24/7 PBS Kids Channel via broadcast OTA and on-line

Looking at the schedule so far, it would seem they are, indeed, alternating between more recent episodes and older episodes of ARTHUR, but SST appears to be Season 46 only for the time being.

    Making Body Patterns

Wow, that's some pretty thick foam; hope your arm is thin enough to fit into it. But as for attaching the head, that was actually the very first mistake I ever learned from: what you would need to do is make sure your puppet has a "neck," which would essentially be sort of like a fabric...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

So people were wigging out over a "lesbian couple" that barely even had a minute of screentime in FINDING DORY that nobody else even really paid any attention to, but I'm kind of surprised that on that same token, toward the end of the movie, those same people didn't seem to notice the lady...

Of course not, we're just talking about doing certain voices.

The... -wait fer it-... "What made you laugh today?" Thread

When I logged into YouTube just a little while ago, I saw a thumbnail for a new upload from SNL: yet another cold open with Alec Baldwin as Trump, this time over the press conference he gave earlier this week. I laughed so hard, because I didn't even have to watch the video to know what...

What is up with these DISTURBING commercials, lately?

Is anyone besides me a little weirded out by these Quilted Northen commercials certain things in the bathroom are actually alive and "see everything and forget nothing"?

The "I Saw Something REALLY Weird Today" Thread

Today, somebody younger than me actually called me "Mr. Scarbrough." OMG, that made me feel so old! >< Is it normal to feel so old even when you haven't even reached thirty yet?

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4701 - Be Kind to Your Worm

Just so you know, I can attest to this personally. When I was younger, I was great at doing falsetto, high-pitched, and squeaky voices. After I finally hit puberty during my mid-teens and continuing up till today (and I'm almost thirty as well), I've never quite been able to do those kinds of...

This will confirm whether or not I am totally insane...

 Naw, I hear ya. If anything, that's what irritates me about Miranda Lambert: whenever she's not singing or performing, it seems like all she ever does is open her great big mouth and b!+c# about everything. I don't condone infidelity or anything, but I think I can understand why Blake...

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

In spite of the communal experience of going to the movies, admittedly, Drtooth does have a point that he's driven home, repeatedly: movies are expensive these days - and that's without all the extras and frivolities (popcorn and snacks and drinks and such). For about the same amount of money...

Sesame Street Season 48 begins shooting, HBO premiere set for November 2017

At this point, I'm inclined to agree. The only consistency I've seen from them so far is the scaling back on parodies; unless I missed it, I didn't even see that one supposed parody with Prairie Dawn we were supposed to get last season.

    Worst/creepiest puppets/puppeteer work

Once again, this is an example that I would say A for effort, but the combination of poor performance and low quality video kind of makes it worse than it is. That, and whoever did this is calling this "Muppets."

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

I've never been much of a circus person, but it's still sad to hear that Ringling Bros. will be shutting down operations after nearly 150 years because kids today are too addicted to computers, phones, and tablets. Future generations of kids will never know the communal experience of attending...

Sesame Street Season 48 begins shooting, HBO premiere set for November 2017

And yet, they said that's why they were dropping the celebrities, because parents don't watch with kids anymore - or, at least, not as much as they used to. Gosh, even SW seems like it's flip-flopping on their decisions. ><
