Sonia's departure blew up because she announced it on her own and she retired on her own volition. The rest of the cast simply seems to not be asked back for the new season, to better focus on the younger (well, not really in Alan's case) cast members.

That was from that aniBoom contest a few years ago, so it's not like SW commissioned a remake; it was one of the entry options though. Plus, it's really well animated and uses the original track so I hardly consider it bad.

The Grover puppet in that bit was made for season 6, so it's entirely plausible it's from season 7; I highly doubt they consulted the Wiki for that.

Finally, they took advantage of the whole "Oscar can appear from any can" thing. I enjoyed the new street bit, though it was a tad odd seeing Big Bird with blood on his beak (and Chris' scrape, yeeks). And I really love the "Boo Boo Busters" song. Great line in the Smart Cookies bit too: "I'm...

Kirk isn't involved with the Julie Andrews series. Besides, that was already announced and he says the project he's working on won't be until the fall.

(Just want to say, ignore my most recent post in this thread. I blocked some of the messages, so I thought someone was referring to the Bert's Birthday video). Clearly, those Video Now things didn't use the whole hour-long show, hence transitioning from something to the end without going to EW.
