The general public wouldn't really care about video quality when it comes to finding stuff they remember. Most people finding their favorite segments on YT from when they were young aren't gonna say "Wow, I remember this, but the quality is terrible." They'll just enjoy being able to see...
Here's another very informative article, with quotes and thoughts from Llyod Morrisett (ya' know, the creator who isn't Joan), Gary Knell (former CEO) and Mike Davis (Street Gang author)...
I think they can have a nice rhythm of taping the season in early spring, debut it the following January, then have them debut on PBS in the fall.
I wouldn't expect season 47 until next January, probably.
The other characters are certainly going to be around still; why would they bother re-casting the likes of Prairie Dawn if they didn't plan to use her? We're probably just not going to get street stories that are centered around just Telly and Baby Bear, or Ernie and Bert anymore. This "core...
Someone reported from the Center for Puppetry Arts opening that they were doing a week of shooting in December and then filming would resume in the spring. I interviewed for an internship (which I was passed on, ah well) and was told they would be filming in March.
There's no evidence that none of these changes wouldn't have been made regardless of Kevin's presence. I honestly can't say this is good or bad. It's just change. Things change. That happens. I'll probably still enjoy the final product. But let's not kid ourselves. This show isn't for adults or...
Considering how long certain cast members have been around, I doubt she was forced out. Sonia has said she was considering leaving for a good while and just happened to do it before season 46 started taping. She certainly had less to do each season, and it was her decision, not SW's.
The...
And here's one that discusses the changes from a perspective within the organization, including how/why Joey Mazzarino left:

I think that's a case of poor puppeteering. It's odd, both Prairie and Cookie (and Grover when he's there) are dubbed over later, yet they don't use their good Muppeteers to perform them.
I'm not sure what kind of continuity this show exists in anyway. They say they've been doing the late night talk show for years, which doesn't fit with the recent movies. And there's been only one use of the word "Muppet" outside of the intro, so it's hard to say whether these are "The Muppets"...
I do look forward to some of the characters being less "mean" (though, that was softening a few episodes in). Not so sure about the way they're describing the new antagonist. They're making it sound very cartoony (I mean, the movie villains were, I guess).
Nice to see the inclusion of other...
Murray seems to still be around in some capacity for this season. I'm almost certain the decision to trim the show down to 30 minutes was done before they started filming and as such, his stuff was probably nixed by then. And yet, they included Murray in the celebrity musical numbers they filmed...
That seems awfully petty and selfish. He's said it was over what he thinks is "heart and soul of the show." His characters aren't objectively that. If he sees so, then that's kinda egotistical. But, I don't think it's over that.
