Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
I'm a little dubious as this whole "they'll still appear in productions" thing. I think they might refer to their DVDs. Look at their most current release - "Elmo's Favorite Stories" - two street stories both feature Maria, who isn't on anymore now. So, they'll probably appear in that regard.
Seeing what a sore subject this is, I'm going to try to avoid reading any news about it. I really don't want to read the same thing over and over unless there's new information.
I can sit here and say objectively the show doesn't suffer based on what human cast members there are and aren't. Is the show worse off that Savion or Uncle Wally aren't there?

One thing needs to be made explicitly clear: NO CREATIVE DECISIONS ARE MADE BY HBO. Considering this current season was filmed before the deal was even made, all of the current changes (format, set, cast) were already in place. HBO has nothing to do it...

Season 46 starts on PBS on September 12. They're airing in a random order, so watch the schedules to see when certain episodes air.
Nice street story overall tackling a very important issue (Super Grover: "I am the total package!"), though it takes a little suspension of disbelief that Prairie's usual uptightness transcends into that kind of stereotyping.
And my lord, could that narrator in the "D" film have been any more...
