Now this will be on CBS's website, right? I missed a few parts with the Muppets, so I'd like to watch those parts again if I get a chance.
Also, does anyone know who performed Statler now that Steve's gone? It did sound like Steve. Could it have been Peter Linz who performed him in that...
So did anyone notice that "Surprise" song was on YT? I noticed it was up there yesterday, but I was wondering if anyone else has. I know we've been asking about that one for a while.
I understand that. I remember watching Mr. Willobee's Christmas Tree with my family the year it was on and my sister was complaining all through the special about how :) didn't sound right. (Which is weird because that one came a few years after MCC.)
I'm sorry. I was just stating that I...
Another update that's sort of on a related topic, I read a news article about how Sabrina Carpenter of Girl Meets World fame was sued for not paying her road managers commission after firing them. How this relates to the Steve Whitmire issue goes back to what I was saying before about how...
True, I'll never forget the sketch with the fish Lyle and Tabbot and Bert's famous line:
I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT IS!!!
Definitely sounded like Frank ad-libbing there. :)
I can't help but wonder maybe that could be why they've been delaying the TOTW, they could be reconsidering having Matt play Kermit. Again, Kermit has played off of a lot of Jerry's characters who Matt had recently inherited, so they'd have to do more than recast Robin. They'll have to either...
Yeah. I didn't catch that until now, but he did inherit :sympathy: and :D from :jim:. It will be interesting to listen when I get a chance and hear his thoughts on that matter and how taking over other characters are different from performing his own character: .
Well, I guess because Steve's Kermit improved over time, they wanted to rerecord the voice so he sounded more like Kermit. I guess they just weren't all that successful with that attempt.
Also, thanks Mo, for that video you posted, but I think that's still the 'deeper voice' one that I saw...
I listened to one on YT with the deeper voice. I always thought that one was the original. I'd like to find a copy of the other one for comparison, but I haven't had much luck.
I know what you mean. A lot of his characters seem to sound the same, like Baby Bear without the speech impediment. Although he is pretty much spot on with Cookie Monster, so maybe he could do a good :) voice if he had to. Who knows?
Yeah. I see your point, but there are characters that sound so similar it does make sense to have them have the same performer: (Ex: :(:o, :D:sympathy:, :laugh:Baby Sinclair.)
Yeah, it's like Steve said himself, Matt has his hands full with his characters having recently took over Jerry's...
I know what you mean. I really enjoy the songs by Steve as :) in that one. "Pictures In My Head" is especially useful when I think of people I'm never going to see again. Now that song has a whole new meaning.
Yeah. I know what you mean. That's what made me mad about the "Da** Reputation" song in "A Tale of Two Piggies." Sure that show was meant for adults, but children who are fans of the Muppets could have been watching and heard that as well. Yet, "Hard to be Humble," in the Mac Davis episode...
Well, that's just it. That's more or less Kermit doing Jimmy Stewart's George Bailey character, rather than Kermit being completely himself wishing he'd never been born. We really can't blame Steve for that one.
