That's so cute. Do they sell costumes of that character at stores in your area or was that made out of original material? I know he's not that popular of a character, so I'm just curious about that.
Well, I think initially it was intentional (not unlike the way Mel Blanc changed Barney Rubble's voice towards the end of the first season). Since Gonzo was originally a depressed type character, but after the first season Dave decided to give him more energy and I guess some time later Dave...
Doesn't help much. We'll still have to wait a year either way. But you never know. I think some SS specials (Ex: "The Street We Live On") had an early DVD release, so it's not impossible that it will be released sooner. We'll see.
I agree. It's the same with Jen's Zoe. Recall when Steve started performing Kermit, he sounded a bit more like Frank Welker's baby Kermit, but over the years he's become spot on with the voice. I can imagine Billy improving with Ernie in time as well.
Sorry for the double post, but I was concerned that this thread got quite all of a sudden. Do we have any news yet on the schedule of the Halloween special and Snazzy Society or if those of us who don't get HBO will have any means of seeing these episodes without having to wait a year?
Well, Jim and Steve both had a chance to sing that. Billy was about due. Hopefully, he'll do a version of "Rubber Duckie" at some point as well. :)
That is something to think about, especially with the recasts. Did Eric's Bert ever sing "Doin' the Pigeon?" Did Dave's Cookie ever sing "C...
I agree with you there, Ant. I felt the same way ever since the HBO season began. I'd definitely be interested in seeing that one online and the "Snazzy Society" repeat if that one still airs as well.
Okay. The street scene clearly wasn't "Snazzy Society." Does that mean this is a new upcoming episode and they rescheduled "Snazzy Society" for another time? Now I'm confused.
And hopefully Mr. Backhurst's Ernie as well. Kee hee hee hee hee!
Wow! I didn't know they brought Ecto Cooler back. (Unless you mean you have one from the 80s or 90s that's way past the expiration date.) I think you may have 'convinced' me John, except I don't have a credit card to buy on ebay. But if you want to PM me and see if we can work something out...
I don't know. As I mentioned back on the Toonzone Forum's, the trouble with Billy's Elmer is sometimes it sounds more like Hal Smith's Elmer than Arthur Q. Bryans. (Ex: On the "Kwazy Kwistmas" CD when he sang "O Christmas Tree.") But just my opinion.
