Or the Muppets singing about the word 'da**' quite a few episodes later. GRRRRRRR!! But you're right, Piggy did seem to be more laid back on that series, but then again she was a complete jerk when she appeared on Good Luck Charlie. The trouble is they need to find some balance between making...
I guess that would be a good idea. After all, Winnie-the-Pooh and Christmas Too was always given a TV-Y rating when it aired on ABC, and being a prime-time Christmas special, I thought that would have been worthy of a G-rating. I definitely could see the same with the new MB series.
Yeah. That's true. The Muppets, at least the more larger known Muppets had relatively small parts in that, but it's understandable since it was the first Jim's and Richard's characters were recast, so I guess the new puppeteers were sort of getting used to the role. It seemed like the Muppets...
One thing I've always noticed was that Steve's Kermit voice always seemed to be pretty hoarse when he was in live appearances on talk shows, but he sounded much better in material that was taped, presumably because Steve has had more time to rehearse.
Sorry for the short notice, I didn't know about this before, but I'm watching Steve's new show, what's it called, "Forever Young" and the second (or third) Barkley actor Fred Garbo is on the show now. If anyone gets a chance, you might want to try to catch the show on the NBC website.
Sorry. I'm a bit late. With the news of Steve's departure, I missed the news on this. Anyway, happy birthday, Dave. Thanks for giving life to all these characters: :concern::confused::sleep::cool:
Exactly. Everyone has different opinions about these things and I understand that people may not always agree with me, but they don't have to be so nasty about it. Heck, I also had the same problem on the WB Message Boards when "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" was on that network. There was a...
Yeah. I know what you mean. I just finished watching MCC and like I said, I felt Steve's :) was spot on by that point, but the voice difference was definitely noticeable the first time Steve voiced Kermit in "The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson." It was the same with Artie, the voice was off in...
Yeah. That's why it's best for my to voice my complaints here. Not only was Friday's not listening to my complaints about that offensive ad, but when I tried to address it on their corporate office message board, not only did the company not listen but there was a total jerk on that board who...
Really? Did they make that official statement then? I thought Artie was just sort of understudying for Steve. Then again Friz Freleng left Warner Bros. 1947 when the head of the studio Eddie Selzer wouldn't let him pair Sylvester and Tweety together, but Friz came back after Eddie said...
I thought of that too. But it doesn't make a lot of sense, because like I said before we had an unexpected 'alternate' Kermit performer back in '09. This time we know about it, so I don't know what's going on. They can't keep Matt's :) out of the spotlight forever. Hopefully we'll see it...
Yeah. I know what you mean. It's like that Taco Bell commercial with the cursing into it that I mentioned before on the other thread, "corporate big wigs," don't seem to listen to people's complaints or concerns. It's sad but what can you do?
Yeah. I agree. I was going to suggest closing the thread too. I think we're getting too much into it and we just need to realize what's done is done and we need to move on. Maybe we can start a separate thread once we hear Matt's :). Just my thoughts on this.
Yeah. Seems like they are trying to avoid showing someone else as Kermit for the time being. Though it is strange when you think about it. Back in '09, Kermit was performed by someone else completely unexpectedly and Artie's Kermit made two or three appearances around that time. Now that we...
