I've always called sodas by their names, like Coke, Pepsi, Root Beer (preferably A&W or Barq's); but, some cousins of mine get made when they say "Get me a Coke," and I bring back a "Coke" when they meant "Dr. Pepper" or something. But they're all unlearned.
'Nother question: Molasses. Who...

It's the pic with Rowlf, Jim Henson Muppet, etc...
BTW: is it really just so hidden, or is there not neck articulation on Nekkid Rowlf?
You can stop that heavy breathing by putting a pillow over his head. (I just won't be held liable for how you put/hold it there and the outcome thereafter!)
We didn't have snow here in Memphis, TN, last night; but it was COLD COLD COLD...I walked over to our cartoonists meeting and then...
I saw the Lion King Broadway Show on Tour here in Memphis: BEAUTIFUL SHOW!!! Loved it!!
That's kinda dumb that you got disqualified for doing voices: did they not make it clear in the rules of the contest? That should have been fought! Storytellers have always used voices on occasion...
(Phantom:I assumed the Katy was a nickname for a regular line on the El train. I don't really know for sure. Yep, a train; not necessarily the El train.)
About the snorin' business, don't wookies normally snore? Besides that, what about the Grits thing??? How'd he take to that??
You're right, it is great to have someone make you feel welcomed and happy to volunteer. With the work I do with the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis I'm in the same situation: You like it because it's fun, it's interesting, and it's rewarding--and the families and kids are always welcoming...
Are you singing the Taj Mahal or Blues Brothers version?
Also, are you going to try to go meet-up with Byron and Alex sometime?
(Here's some trivia: Do you know what a "katy" is?)
If you told someone you were going to go get a "grinder" around here, folks would show up at your door with meats and corn to get them ground down; coffee beans even. Or bring a video camera thinking you were talking about a dancer...
I'd like to see Palisades re-release with new sculpts the first 2 waves of figures! They've learned new stuff over the years and it could make great figures even greater!
I do love my Palisades figures best of all action figures I've ever owned!!
Grits:
Finley grined hominy corn. It's amazing how many folks will say they don't like Grits but love hominy corn. Pete and Rizzo discussed them in TMTM in the diner:
Pete: *paraphrased* Here, Rizzo.
Rizzo: What's this?
Pete: Grits!
Rizzo: What?
Pete: Grits, grits! Hominy Grits...
RIGHT ON!! They're too far and few between for me--paying gigs that is!
Love hand and rod/hand live hand puppetry.
I can't do ventriloquism, marionnettes, or shadow puppets.
Which makes me also consider the Grits/Haggis discussions in Byron's Alex-comin'-to-USA thread.
Kinda makes me wodner what else is so different between our culinary delights? Like, for example, I love Buttermilk and Cornbread mixed together--something my grandfather taught me--as well as hog...
