Holiday Greetings from the Ed Sullivan Show DVD

So, who's got any info on this DVD? Kermit and Piggy (from MCC) appear on the cover. What's on the DVD? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000C506D/ref=pd_luc_22_lc_a163414x0/103-7995740-8262214

    Australian puppet creators?

Welcome to MC! :) (There's a jacuzzi in MC's backyard!) On making puppets, my first one was based on a pattern for a 'people' puppet, and it was Muppet-style. There are puppet patterns online and I would suggest you start that way. After doing it by pattern the first time, you get several...

    Info on Sullivan's Unforgettable Performances

I still haven't even found the Sullive Muppet Magic DVD yet! :( Locally, I mean.

    Henson closes NY office

I foresee opportunity for the JHC by this move, and now that I know they'll be taking their Murals (etc) along with them, I'm much happier. The people from inside the building is much more important, as is the work; my worry comes then from knowing that folks may lose their jobs. That's sad...

    Scotland meets Kentucky!

A boy? Nah. The name says "jellyMAN kelly." I thought you might just be a feminine male, sir. You know: Man-Kelly Jelly. Jelly. That's a weird looking word. *Looks for the hard stuff.* Oh, here it is! *Puts kerosene in the O.J. Flies drop dead.* Hmm...This could be a bad idea...

*puts orange juice outside of door* Hm. All I got was flies. :(

    Henson closes NY office

I'm not so much worried about the building as I am about what they'll do regarding that awesome mural on the wall, or the architecture in the building that had sculptings/moldings of Muppets. Anybody know?

Henson talking to Disney and Viacom for potential partnership deals

I always said that the JHC needs to study what they did to become successful, and for the most part copy that with a modern twist to keep it updated. They seem to stray a bit in their writings, etc.

    Thespians

I was asked to be in "The Man of La Mancha," but I turned it down. I didn't think The Man would appreciate me being in him like that. You know, the whole 'possession' thing and all that, and it's heck getting exorcised! Actually, the director saw me as Tin Man in Wizard of Oz and asked me...

Help Please: Problem with Statler & Waldorf

Turn her head upside down! HAA! Actually, Fozzie has probelms with Statler and Waldorf, too; but not like your's. Normally vegetables and stuff... BTW: The key idea to problems with figures is to not fuss about it, but take them back where you got them and EXCHANGE THEM! The stores will...

Have You Been Naughty or Nice?

Kevin Teetered back and forth but has made the finals on the "Nice" list. Naughty marks for skipping baths, hiding junk food in bedroom and staying up too late. Is sweet to parents and little kids, though. Really came through with plenty of "please" and "thank you's." Was especially well...

    Beaks

Hey, what about that stuff that's like styrofoam-in-a-can? It gets pretty hard, too. BTW: one of my friends has used paper mache` in 7 to 10 coats, then painted it and covered it with a thick layer of clear coat, and his sculptures are very hard and sturdy. Mightn't something like that...

    Exercises

Lucky peoples! I wanted to be in that play in 1989, but my mom was all, "No. The plant cusses!" I said, "Well, so do you!" Then I COULDN'T peform AudreyII because I was grounded for 10 years! Sheesh.

    Beaks

I've been finding furniture on side of the road and taking the cushion foam from the seats! It's big blocks of foam that's 4" thick or more. From these foam blocks I've been carving things for puppets, and puppets themselves. I'd say if you can find some of this foam, it's fairly sturdy...

    Culinary Culture Barriers

A black friend of mine brought up an interesting item one day that I never noticed. He says that if you listen to black people describe Kool Aid, he says that they call Cherry/Strawberry/Watermelon colored Kool Aid "Red." So you ask, "You want Orange, Grape, or what?" "Gimme Red Flavored...

    What's your claim to fame?

I bet the jerk judges thought "Original, but not accurate," and that's why they dumped on you. I was in a spelling be for the northern state competition and lost on the world "Navel" because I thought they said "Naval." In other words, I spelled 'orange' instead of 'fleet of military boats.'...
