I say, we can lobby Disney...tell em' we want a Muppets Weekend Celebration at Disneyland or WDW just like they do with Star Wars annually. I mean why not?
I have a feeling summer 2010 we'll get some sort of big fan gathering going.
As dedicated Muppet fans, we should figure out creative ways to help capitalize on this phenomenon while it has legs. I'm sure Disney is taking notice, and I hope we get an avalanche of new people here.
I want to see a total Muppet takeover...which between Sesame 40th, all the muppet...
Ok, it's only 8 minutes...but man I've been waiting 11 years for this!

Between this and Muppets Bohemian Rhapsody, I couldnt be any happier:)
I have to say one of my absolute favorite Muppets now has to be Big Mean Carl. You saw him in last year's "Muppets Take Over Today Show" in the control room, you saw him as a postal clerk in Letters To Santa, and now he's in Bohemian Rhapsody
My hope is someday we'll get Big Mean Carl toys...
True...characters evolve. For awhile Animal looked weird however, with the super shaggy style. Sam looked a bit odd at D23. But then Bohemian Rhapsody hits...and my goodness, it's like all the characters look unbelievably perfect.
3 million views on youtube!
I'm hoping it can get to the 25 million mark in the next few months:) I encourage everyone to leave comments on youtube and elsewhere online with the forum.muppetcentral.com, muppetnewsflash and muppet mindset urls.
I say we take this wave and ride it as far...
How do you think I have nearly 4 gigs worth of Muppet/Sesame/Fraggle clips and specials? ;) Check out Sesame Workshop's official youtube channel, they have a bajillion clips and episodes up...its insane.
I just finished downloading all the "Henson Alternative" brand stuff on youtube and...
Good to see someone commenting on what's going on.
For the last two weeks you couldnt go on any channel or website without seeing some mention of Sesame Street. For a whole week Sesame characters hijacked the #1 websiite online: google.com
Every single news channel: MSNBC/NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN...
copy and paste this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgbNymZ7vqY
into here:
http://keepvid.com/
or
http://clipnabber.com/
voila. You can download every single youtube video. and if you get realplayer, you can download every single video anywhere on the internet practically.
As well as all the Muppets.com stuff...I can't find one program that can capture the videos from that site:( I'd buy up a dvd of that stuff in a nanosecond!
Yeah but there's also way too many Muppet "fans" who would rather the Muppets be put back in storage and for any new Muppet product or media to simply be "honoring the past".
I think the Muppet Bohemian Rhapsody proves the Muppets are back, and as wildly irreverent as ever...55 years later...
Yeah I like that 2003 era logo, as well as the 2001 Kermit head logo.
These sillohetted logos look like they could be used at a new California Adventure Land area tailored for the Muppets or something.
That truly is a horrid logo from Disney's early buy of the Muppets! eeesh.
My FAVORITE is the 2001 era logo for the Muppets(ie: the
closeup of Kermits face) but the logo on 2003 Palisades stuff was cool too
Btw, the "core 5" pretty much went from being Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie and...
Niiice. Very classic. We've been waiting for Disney to change the sucky Muppet logo they've been using since 2004.
Looks like many things these days are moving in the right direction for our furry pals
This thing is exploding all over the place, beyond anything theyve put out on youtube before.
I dare say, this could single handedly bring back the Muppets to the hip young crowd and well...back overall.
To ANYONE whos says "let the muppets die", "the Muppet magic is gone", "we should just...
I don't like how they switched the paper from slick color glossy...too, well not so slick and glossy. A minor gripe tho:)
Waldenbooks still exists? Holy 1980's Batman! I have fond memories of their "Muppet Mart" section back in the mid to latter 80's as a kid.
I saw that tonight! Theyre always making Muppet/Sesame references on The Office(my fave show on tv!), so Im surprised they conflated Muppet Show with Sesame Street.
Btw, is Friends, Robot Chicken and the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall the only times Fraggle Rock has been referenced?
