Good point. Can ANYONE say why Muppet Babies isnt on dvd? Does this make sense? Way more people saw Muppet Babies than Dinosaurs. C.O.P.S., Alf Animated, Garfield and friends, etc is all on dvd. Heck even now Fraggle Animated. But no Muppet Babies?
For some reason I keep thinking Lighthouse...
True...the lyrics are far from Muppety. I agree with everyone who said Animal's part seemed way too long and threw the otherwise perfect song off kilter.
How hard would it have been to change the words? They changed all the other lyrics.
Anyways...8.5 million views...add the other...
Im sure we'll have people on here complaining next year that "there's just way too much Muppet stuff...you cant go anywhere without seeing something Muppet related!"
heh. Man, I feel utterly embarrassed with how I jumped on the anti Disney buyout bandwagon 2001-2004. Disney is doing what the...
Man, the Muppets @ Rockefeller Center tomorrow night and Andrea Bocelli performing on Jay Leno with the Muppets, and again on his Christmas PBS special is insane...judging from the article the Muppets have truly taken over *both* the web and tv.
I think Jim Hill has, like all of us, been...
I've been following Jim Hill's blog for years, particularly in regards to
any thoughts on the Muppets. Hill has perhaps been the Muppets biggest vocal proponent in the respected Disney community, and boy did he just deliver quite the whopper...
Im with you on Song of the South! They base rides, plushes, books, merchandise, other areas of Disneyland on that movie...but REFUSE to even acknowledge its existence.
Oh, its "racist". Yeah right. The movie EXPOSES racist of antebellum South. It shows kindness...it does not perpetuate...
Im actually curious how many southern California/LA area forum goers there are(or heck, Californians in general) here.
I'd want to start a petition to Disney to have an official Muppet celebration weekend this coming summer...but for some reason I have a feeling that might actually happen on...
I just realized this isn't the actual new logo, but some brief inhouse thing Muppet Studios used in 2005.
I dont think any characters should be used in association with a logo; however it is beyond time that the Muppets get a logo worthy of them instead of the horrible photoshop job...
Not sure how well petitions work(tho the one Warrick got rolling with Fraggle Rock worked...I see Fraggle Rock dvds prominently sold at Target, Walmart, FYE, Suncaost and Best Buy)
For most of you here, this will be a no brainer list. But I thought it bears(pun intended) repeating: Disney...
I love how Scooter finally has his real voice back, and Dr Teeth too. For way too long Scooter didnt quite sound like Scooter...theyve done a masterful job creating new puppet builds and getting the voices/mannerisms perfect.
Well the average person will say "oh! I love Kermit, Piggie, Gonzo...oh whats his name? Fonzie the bear? And I love those two old guys, and that chef dude"
In 20 years if the muppets are still around it could be guzgub, fleeber, noodles, zorkle and harrison the manatee as the main 5(ok, i...
I love how classy the characters look(again, im with dr tooth...im calling new character builds all around) against a black backdrop.
Rowlf, Gonzo, Carl...heck what's that group of monsters we see? I LOVE their colors, so vibrant!(green, purple, etc) I love the subtle nuances, like the...
That had to be the best Sesame Street float/song Ive seen on Macy's day in years. And I really dug the Abby float. Missed the Kermit performance(had to go back to bed...its hard waking up early during my non work days!) but I'll catch it on youtube. Btw, the Kermit float is so surreal...I just...
It's been about a year since I last saw LTS, so I finally got to see it again with the dvd.
Absolutely loved it. As I mentioned before, a lot of it has a cinematic film quality that AVMMCM seemed to lack. While it's short(45 total of actual film time) it felt much more like a movie than a...
I say saturate baby saturate...after Elmo's 13 years and going reign of dookie, I say it's time to turn up the volume on characters who are genuine and real and have true heart.
Joey Mazzarino is an absolute genius. He said he wanted to base Murray Monster on Fraggle Rock's traveling Matt...
I just got done watching a bunch of Murray/Ovejita segments with my family that I compiled on dvdr. These guys are pure magic, and some of THE best Muppety characters/chemistry I've seen. It's unfortunate a lot of Muppet fans won't get to check em out due to it being Sesame...but I mean these...
