EM.TV to Sell Muppets to Jim Henson's Children for $89 Million

I agree with your opinion, but it isn't likely that TMS will have full season sets anytime soon. It would conflict with the Columbia Tristar/Time Life deal. These should have been released by season boxed sets to begin with. :zany:

Miss Piggy on Hollywood Squares May 12-16

Piggy looked a lot better today with her longer hair. What's with her fashion line? Did I miss something? And who would buy clothing to look like Miss Piggy? LOL! :)

EM.TV to Sell Muppets to Jim Henson's Children for $89 Million

Um...that's all good, but Red should be the first Fraggle made! :excited: Dave and Steve have several characters already, but more (especially Fraggles) is always better! You know, they probably have a Sprocket in fairly good shape. He pops up in so many projetcs and he's more fuzz than foam. :zany:

    Fraggle Rock Lineup Wishlist

Oh, I think doozers are a shoo-in. They'd definitely get made with the Fraggle five. Sproket too. The others, maybe not. :smirk:

    Fraggle Rock Lineup Wishlist

I don't see that as an issue. Palisades doesn't go to Henson to shoot turnarounds of the Muppet puppets and there's enough video footage and photographs that Henson can contribute to make figures.

    Scooter: who's who

Dr. Teeth didn't talk in the version of the special I saw. :sympathy: If Teeth is considered a "hire out" instead part of the core group, then I would rather a core performer like Bill voice him just because it would mean we'd see him more often. I think John does a great job.

    Scooter: who's who

Isn't John off Dr Teeth duty now, though? I thought that secret squirrel said somthing of it. I could be wrong. My statement was not about taking Teeth out of the hands of John, rather to give it to an appropriate person if John has moved on. Bill would be the best choice. However, I enjoy the...

Miss Piggy on Hollywood Squares May 12-16

Warrick- It's the same puppet, different hair. The skin is very smooth. It is a lot different from the Christmas special puppet. Maybe we'll just have to get used to it. I wonder if it has to do with new builders working on her. I know a lot of the staff was let go last year. Maybe it's just...

EM.TV to Sell Muppets to Jim Henson's Children for $89 Million

The more I think about it the more I like the idea that Sesame is a separate property than the rest of Henson. Without the Sesame property to manage, they can spend more energy promoting the Muppet Show gang, Creature Shop projects and maybe get some Fraggle DVDs released. I have felt that these...

    Guess Series 7

How many Muppet Treasure Island figures do you think have to be made? It would be great to see them all, but it's unrealistic to think they'll all be made. My pics: Kermit (planned) Gonzo/Rizzo (planned) Sam Arrow (planned) Polly/Clueless It would be fantastic to have other characters...

    Scooter: who's who

I think Brian is the way to go with Scooter. He captures the voice, the nuances and, most importantly, the heart of Scooter. Bill's Rowlf gets a B+ from me. It's almost an A, but the laugh is what gives him away. It's the same laugh Bill uses for all of his characters. Should be easy enough...

Miss Piggy on Hollywood Squares May 12-16

Miss Piggy hit the lypo doctor on her way to Squares! It appears that either Miss Piggy has been fasting until the Henson sale or she is being modeled after Palisades' thin Miss Piggy figure. The pig is skinny. It could be the short-cropped hair or the fact that she looks 10 years...

    I don't get it.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was kind of confused too. Thought it was some sort of dis on the bear, but I agree there are lots of ugly Fozzies out there. I have always found that weird because he should be one of the easiest plushes to make. These strips remind me of the Gilchrist comics in...

EM.TV to Sell Muppets to Jim Henson's Children for $89 Million

I'm wondering just how much cash the Henson family has left over after this deal? If you break it down to 680 M and half of it in stock options that leaves 340 M. Take away legal fees and taxes and it's probably 160M. Then you have whatever expenses they had in the last few years. So do you...

EM.TV to Sell Muppets to Jim Henson's Children for $89 Million

A future Muppet Fest could easily incorporate Sesame Street. Sesame Workshop could co-sponsor the event. I think it's far-fetched to think Sesame characters wouldn't be there. After all it would be a Muppet Fest, not a Henson Company Fest. I'd think the companies and performers would want to...

    Fraggle Rock Lineup Wishlist

Really? I could. It would be quite simple. Buying her would be incentive to purchase the garden playset and keep everything within cost. She'd be made the same way, but wouldn't be glued down to the set. More fun that way.

EM.TV to Sell Muppets to Jim Henson's Children for $89 Million

Yup. Back in 84 or 85 they had a mini exhibit inside a small building in Central Park. There was a making-of featurette that included extensive Muppet Baby footage. They also had puppets on display - mainly Kermit and Miss Piggy at the alter. I was really young so I don't remember too much, but...

    Fraggle Rock Lineup Wishlist

I'd like to see the Fraggles Gonzo-sized so they wouldn't tower over the rest of the Muppet gang. I know they'd be a different line, but I'd enjoy some interaction. Maybe a tad bigger than Gonzo just to allow for more articulation, but that's about right. Doozers could be a little smaller than...

EM.TV to Sell Muppets to Jim Henson's Children for $89 Million

Who could argue with that? I'd love for there to be a MTM tie-in theme to MF. I remember seeing the original MTM exhibit in Central Park when I was a kid. That sure ages me! I want there to be as many Muppet characters of all sorts that they can fit into the Fest! I'd also like to see some...
