I agree with Luke here. I keep reading all sorts of figure lists and few people seem to grasp the wisdom of marketing. With a property like Fraggle Rock, it would be important to have 2 incarnations of the Fraggle 5 in each wave. One of the remaining 2 slots should be filled with a fan fave like...
I'd be up for Muppet Fest 2004 in NY, but I would not want it to have a singular Sesame Fest theme. I might not go out of my way for that. I love SS, but not with the same sort of passion as the Muppet Show, Fraggle and Creature Shop gang and I wouldn't want an over saturation of Sesame. We get...
Now I hope they'll focus on projects. The now what is whether or not Henson will have enough funding left over to create new product and what that product will be. Will the new show hit Fox this fall or be a mid-season replacement? What day and time slot should it air? What will be the setting...
Really? I don't remember a WB store in New York, Houston or San Francisco in the early 90s. They didn't seem to come around until the mid-90s. But I'm sure it was different everywhere. Probably opened in LA first. They just weren't very common until then I guess.
;) You quit.
Seriously, I heard the Superman vs Batman film spoken about like a done deal just a couple of months ago. Although, I also heard that a Batman movie was too. Just darn confusing. Makes me think they're planning something entirely different. I didn't like the colorful departure...
I'm one of those rare people who enjoyed the film and the television program. They share the same name and initial storyline, but the similarities end there. The film was an entirely different brand of humor that worked on its own level, although I like the series more. Neither makes my top ten...
Leslie Ugams - just because I don't care for her. The rest of the show was fine and it's always good to see SS characters in the mix, but after I saw this woman slaughter the musical Anything Goes (about a decade or so ago, it was not on the show), I cannot endorse any of her work. :grouchy: But...
Cool. Just as I originally stated, "The explosion must have started nearly 7 years ago with the opening of the WB store." The opening of the stores and the aquisition of Turner Entertaimnent happened around the same time. Starting in 1997 and continuing to 2003 would be about 6-7 years. ;)...
It will definitely be considered a hit by minimum standards, but there's a possibility it will also be considered a disappointment if it doesn't live up to the hype. Either way it will make a profit. I don't think it will do Spiderman Business, but few movies do.
Scale looks right to me too. It's a tricky thing, because the characters are cheated-out so much in productions so they have a more even eyeline than they should.
Have you gotten Chef yet? Man, he's huge! A little taller than Fozzie without his hat on, but very fat. I still think he's in...
There's a lot of Pooh everywhere, but there's even more Scooby. The explosion must have started nearly 7 years ago with the opening of the WB store. Of course it's gone now, but the Scooby merchandise isn't. His face has graced the covers of a variety of food products including cereals, Scooby...
The market must be very different where you are because we have been over saturated with Scooby Doo here well before the film came out. More so than Pooh. In fact, some of my Scooby-loving friends were turned off by the amount of exposure. Just funny how different locations have different...
I continue to disagree that the Muppets would have a harder time fitting in with Fox as opposed to another network. If you remember Muppet history correctly - no network has given the Muppet Show gang a good shot at a series.
The Muppet Show was syndicated because no network wanted it; The...
Yeah, I get what you mean, but actually ABC is worse on the reality TV front these days. I guess that since most of my work these days is from home that I catch a lot of TV. I am totally addicted to 24. Only two shows left! It has to be one of the best shows on television.
Well, in her defense she has to strike while the iron is hot. I can see her returning for a lesser role if there is a conflict. It leaves more room for other X-Men to emerge anyway. I found it peculiar how little Cyclopse appeared in this film. Still good. Nightcrawler was a fave of mine from...
X Men too was very good. I give it an A-. Could have been slightly tighter at the end, but nonetheless a great movie. Much better than the first. I always felt the first was lacking substance. It was just too short and simple. I guess introductions are always challenging.
I saw the Hulk...
LOL. I actually figured it out. If my plans go as expected in the next year, the default menu would be seen about 65% of the time. Not too bad. :) It's still my favorite.
I don't think that Fox only has good programming on one night of the week. They have many shows going strong: The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, Boston Public, 24, That '70s Show, King of the Hill and Mad TV. They also have new interesting shows like Jon Doe, The Bernie Mac Show, Fastlane...
