So why couldn't they have released this teaser last holiday season? In fact I and others on here awhile back said that a good idea for a trailer would be joke on the audience: have what looks like your typical rom-com bromance trailer that will appeal to the Paul Rudd/Segal/etc audience. And at...
Couldn't agree more. The entire thrust of the film is throwing a creme pie to all the people and "old school fans" who wrote off the Muppets as dead has beens.
You aren't missing much...3D is just a terrible concept. Every single "3d" film Ive seen(and Ive now seen about 8 3d films in the...
Yeah that's me, immoral for sneaking into a film several years ago. Call big brother! :)
Honestly, I absolutely did not make my opinion about Cars to rub anyone the wrong way. There is a presumption that all are free to speak their mind on their feelings regarding cinema or programs.
I...
The poster kind of reminds me of Muppets from Space, in a good way. I think a teaser poster even more vague should have been released awhile ago...but I like this one.
It's unapolagetic..it's saying there is this special group of characters deep down everyone loves, but thinks they went away...
Only place I've seen these is in the discount toy section of Marshalls clothing store. That Gonzo definitely looks nice, and this appears to be some of the only non Disneystore merch to come out in some time
Very nice! And in blu ray quality footage no less. It's nice to finally see some muppet film promotion
And hey, I didn't know Kermit was a fan of hard alcohol:)
That "Arthur Christmas", horrible. It's just going to confuse people really. We already have a majorly hyped "Arthur" film, and parents will mostly know of the Arthur Aardvark cartoon franchise from PBS.
And wow, how original...Santa ends up being an alien/corporate slave factory/techno...
Only a dozen replies? This should be front page news on MC! In 13 years of being on this forum, this is by far the most amazing thing I've seen fan made. ****, I'd say its even better than what an official theater would have looked like by Palisades. This is truly just something else. Can't wait...
A Waldo figure? Wow, seriously never thought I'd see the day. What is that, like the first ever JHH character merch?
Not to nitpick, but imagine if these all had original head sculpts like the Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy vinyl figures? Just saying, of course thats not near as cost...
It's hard to imagine this point, from a decade ago. On MC back then, a lot of us had a strong virulent "keep the mouse hands off Kermit!" attitude. We were overjoyed when JHC bought the Muppets back from EM.TV in may 2003.
We never could have imagined that JHC would have sunk into oblivion...
I have my religion on my facebook set to "Potatoism".
I swear, 20 years later the Dinosaurs series has so much relevance, especially with all the oil issues going on.
The "council of elders" reminds me of some shadowy Illuminati cabal rumored to be behind the seat of politics in the world...
I swear I will get around to checking out Phineas and Ferb one day! In the meantime, I have to say I'm really liking the GI Joe Renegades show(hey, what can I say, Im slow to get into modern cartoons)
Maybe something Muppet comicy/magazine wise will show up.
I still say we should pull...
I have a prediction: In ten years, if we still have the internet, you'll be making long rants about the Weinsteins, Pook a Looz, and the never finished Muppet comic arc. James, I kid! I love ya man. :)
Just teasin ya...yeah it's pretty tumbleweeds. Most workers at Disney store seem puzzled...
Oh goodness, those characters couldn't be farther apart. Though, sadly Del's only official appearance were the 5 short "Del's Vegas Comedy Tour" videos TBS posted online a few years ago. Absolutely loved them, and am sad JHC never did anything else with the character.
JHC keeps missing and...
Just wondering if it's a normal thing for the big Holiday Disney tentpole to have not one single shred of promotional material, teaser trailer, teaser poster, etc eight months before release? Now I know eight months may seem like a lot, but Disney is known for releasing teaser trailers and...
I'll admit...while I enjoy the exclusive small niche and underground feel of Muppet fandom online, I was a bit bothered in 2002-2003
when online Farscape fandom was this huge rage(with even street protests) YET mainstream visibility and fever for Muppet fandom seemed MIA. Well guess things...
I've long opined at how I consider most franchises by JHC to be "Muppets"(even going so far as to argue for Dinosaurs and Puppet Up)...but I definitely don't consider Sid or Dinosaur Train in the realm of Muppets.
Farscape was a big thing for many of us early MC folks, especially in the...
This is more or less to DrTooth:
Now that its been a month since Toy Fair, anything from there that you're excited about other than the Hasbro Sesame stuff?
Only thing for me is the new Sonic figures.
I have to say, I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the "new" Ninja Turtles...
