Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
I think late 90's Cartoon Network ruined animation. Whereas animation USED to be hand drawn, now virtually every cartoon has a cheapy cheap flash look trying to ape a minimalist Hanna Barberra. So many Nick, Disney, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, etc shows have this terrible look to it. People...
I am sooooo grateful I was alive to and the perfect age to bear witness to the glory that was children's television 84-90
(Muppet Babies, Reading Rainbow, G1 Transformers, etc)
I have no idea how anyone can like the newer generation. Whats that one nightmarish looking kids show with the...
I couldn't get into Thomas...but you know what show is now one of my favorites and has commanded my attention? Chuggington. Seriously. I know, its some new kiddy middle of the road cgi show from the UK, but there's something magical about it to me.
Sadly it seems like they redubbed the British...
Just think about this folks...
Right now, as hardcore Muppet/Henson fans, we are kind of where the Star Wars fan community was in 1994-1995. I was a huuuge SW fan around then, but we knew something big was around the corner...something that would create a distinct line between what had become...
Perhaps on the East Coast...I know a lot of us fans are going to try and get a big fan gathering going for Disneyland and or D23 later this summer if an official one isnt made
Or just time to be with his family and or relax. Again I cant wait to see "Being Elmo", as even though Ive famously said that I don't even acknowledge Elmo as a Muppet, I sure as heck respect the heck out of the man and his craft. I LOVE Hoots, Clifford, and virtually every other non-Elmo thing...
Well speaking of which, the documentary about his life
is one of the films getting the biggest buzz at Sundance right now:

If you think its bad with Sonic knockoff bootleg merch...hoo boy, just try googling "Mario figure" on ebay and watch as virtually every match returns hong kong origin bootlegs. In fact, be it anywhere online, comic shops, etc its almost impossible to find
authentic Mario or Nintendo...
A lot of us have begun to forgive Disney for their massive blunders and faux paus(like destroying their 2d department, the very thing that made them Disney) due to what theyve been doing with the Muppets, and creating amazing new genre films like Tron Legacy.
Meanwhile, Disneyland itself...
After seeing more pictures and reading a bit more, it does indeed seem like Uncle Deadly is Chris Cooper's sidekick. I originally thought perhaps they created a smaller character with more color that was dragon like...but seeing Uncle Deadly apart from the main muppets, it seems likely he is...
Deadly feels more like a bad guy than a good guy. I always saw characters like Deadly, Crazy Harry, Behemoth, Doglion, Luncheon Monster, Big Mean Carl, Gruper, etc as being able to play bad guys in a movie or show.
I can just imagine a dramatic turn where Cooper discovers Uncle Deadly, who...
Yes! I love it. All your ideas. We know in recent years the Muppets have been known for self-depreciating humor. On Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora, Rowlf made reference to having been out of work for some time, talking about how he'll take any work he can get.
It would be cool if past TMS and...
Yeah I'm hoping for some really super esoteric and obscure out of left field references to past JHC/Muppet stuff. The fact they dressed JHC as Muppet Studios and have a big JH banner outside the El Capitan shows they havent completely severed the Muppets from JH.
While I do share your concern...
They'll probably be doing pickups here and there for the next few months, especially if a last minute big celeb cameo opens up...though just a guess. I imagine there may be some scenes requiring a bit of cgi and heavy post production effect shots.
Sooooo cant wait for the first bit of...
Something I haven't seen discussed yet...I wonder what everyone here is hoping for or can guess as to what easter eggs, fan service, or "noooo way?" moments will be there?
My guesses:
- Walter will be seen, or at least reference, going on Muppet fan forums and blogs/sites
- We'll have at...
