Not to mention, the reason why often times the CG looks so cheap is because of the time constraints those big Hollywood producers often put on the production nowadays, not giving them enough time to make sure it looks right.
And it also hurts the poor guys in the VFX companies, forcing them to...
A little old, but still very informative: Amalgamated Dynamics founders Tom Woodruff, Jr. and Alec Gillis discuss in detail why producers go with CG over practical effects, citing things such as box office safeness, ease of post-production correction, and tax incentives, though not really cost...
Just saw the episode with Big Mac dressing in drag to help Apple Bloom win the Sisterhooves Social. It's so hilarious seeing him try to pass himself off as a mare (especially when he didn't try at all to hide his brute strength during the climactic obstacle course), not to mention really sweet...
I've never seen the original Danger Mouse growing up, so I had to watch a few episodes to get myself acquainted with the series. And after watching the premiere episode of the reboot, they managed to reboot it the right way. Character personalities are more or less the same apart from minor...
I loved Bugs' war with the mail snail that wouldn't leave his house until he got tipped, very reminiscent of "Draftee Daffy" but with a less dated tone as conscription is no longer mandatory in this country (at least not now). Also loved the scene where Bugs bounced the snail around on non-stick...
I don't think any other kid is able to pull off that voice the way Sean Giambrone does. If we can accept Clarence and Sumo sounding like teenagers, then I don't see why they can't keep Jeff's VA on the show.
It took a good long while, but we finally got the proper origin story with yesterday's episode. I figured the producers didn't want to bog us down with exposition during the premiere, so they just gave us bits and pieces of the backstory a la The Powerpuff Girls and 4Kids' TMNT and elaborated on...
How can we forget the episode about the Snowdeer getting an early start to winter only for Bugs to turn it against him with him getting an early start to Christmas? That one sure did crack me up. :)
It's a good thing I watched that Oddity Archive episode about local commercials in order to...
Overall, I found this episode to be a lot better than the previous, getting a lot more laughs from me especially. I particularly enjoyed the subplot with Fozzie stealing Jay Leno's candy dish as a keepsake (and the punchline at the end), as well as several other secondary Muppets getting their...
Those are some poorly constructed and poorly performed puppets right there. Only the bunny manages to look decent, as he kinda resembles Bean Bunny in build quality.
I would like for Chido in the episode before that to become a recurring character. She's got a lot of mystery surrounding her with her, especially with her girly-girl side that she seems to hide. And I bet there's going to be a lot of shipping of her with Tyson. :D
Nice references to The Purge in the latest episode. Rick said not to interfere with other planets as a Space Amish girl was about to be purged herself, but Morty just had to rescue her, only for her to shipjack them and strand them on the planet. Gotta love how that Amish lighthouse guy reading...
Those last couple of episodes were pretty intense. We got Zog the Triceraton back, and he gets taken advantage of his oxygen-induced loopiness just like in the 4Kids series. This led up to the two-parter that paired up the Turtle Gang, the Mutanimals, and Agent Bishop (now an ally, and it seems...
As weak as the Bigfoot shorts are, I find the character to be more tolerable if I see him like Cheese from Foster's Home: a "special" individual who nonetheless admires the protagonist like a brother (or should I say brother lady? :D).
So, how 'bout that Goosebumps movie? It's something that's been planned since at least 1998 (around the time the TV series ended), and is being directed by the same guy as 2010 adaptation of Gulliver's Travels, and will also star Jack Black. So I can't say it will be that great.
