Here's the Fred the Fish and Betty the Bird segment with the original audio of a kid narrating it. I greatly prefer what Jim Thurman did with this cutesy original later on. :)
That independent animated adaptation of The Little Prince that was released in France last year will be making its U.S. debut in March this year. I must admit, I do like its use of an original narrative (in CGI) incorporated with the actual story (in stop-motion). Hopefully, the former will be...
Age really seems to be just a state of mind with Steven. Whereas he aged uncontrollably after worrying over his fear of being old in "So Many Birthdays", here he worried about staying young forever and struggled to maintain his willful growth spurt.
I also loved how "messy" Garnet looked with her first fusion design. I'm assuming when she got shattered and reformed, she was able to "fix" that.
Oh, and that poor Pearl owned by Blue Diamond.
I agree in that Bordertown isn't great, but not as awful as I thought. I don't see why they had to make the white family a bunch of straw redneck conservatives (especially with their fat beauty pageant daughter at a time when Honey Boo Boo has begun to fall out of relevance), though I do like...
Seems that Gems normally fuse with their own kind. When Ruby and Sapphire fused for the first time, however, the others didn't take kindly to it. Obvious allegory to racism is obvious.
And I loved R&S's duet later on. And the little dance they did together to fuse before meeting Rose Quartz and...
In the recent episode, I like how they made a joke about how assimilated into human life Marquess is in that he can barely fly more than a few inches off the ground. And how Tyson is depicted as ripped and in-shape as he was in the '80s even though we know that's not the case now much like Adam...
That's the biggest problem with digital distribution as a whole. Stuff can get yanked off the service if the companies aren't satisfied with the deal. Though I have a feeling the shows produced for the service are immune from this.
Almost neglected to mention Johnson and Friends, an Australian preschool series from 1990-95 that ran for a brief moment in the U.S. on Fox Kids in the early '90s, and was about an ensemble cast of toys that came to life while their owner was away (and done 5 years before Toy Story, too!). It...
Will Disney issue a C&D on that site like they have done to other unofficial works in the past (need we mention the daycare center debacle)? I sure as heck hope not.
Only 2 of the 13 episodes released seem to be done with Flash/Harmony, and from the same studio as Rick & Morty, so it looks very full and fluid either way. Dunno why they did it other than Canadian tax write-offs, but why only for those two?
Anyway, while I haven't seen The Croods yet, this...
Santo Bugito is another underrated show of theirs, as well. Unfortunately, it never lasted beyond 13 episodes as CBS was basically gutting its Saturday morning programming at the time. Had it ran on Nick like most of KC's other shows, it would have gotten a better chance.
And who can forget...
I admit, watching the first episode I had doubts about this show since it seemed to fall into the same trap so many others of its kind fall into with vulgarity (like with the little redneck boy who's still in diapers despite way past the age of growing out of them) and mean-spiritedness (with...
