Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
That 2nd season was announced a long time ago. I wouldn't mind if it were the final, as I don't know how many new alternate universes the writers can come up with beyond that.
The plot was all kinds of confusing even for adults, which I blame the severe editing for. Plus, Alec Baldwin was the only human actor to give even a sliver of a crap.
At least Diesel 10 was a pretty fun villain.
Stevonnie is back, and this time he/she/it/xe/whatever other pronoun you use decides to spitefully race against Kevin, the creep who tried to force himself onto the fusion. Was the race between the two supposed to reference Initial D? I've never seen it myself, but considering the other homages...
The early years of the Drew era were awkward at best and downright painful at worst (the infamous "Fried Chicken" showcase comes to mind), but he has since grown into the role nicely, as has George. At the very least, we should all be grateful that Drew at least gives George and the others their...
There was this series called Jellybean Jungle, a straight-to-video Sesame Street/Barney cash-in that's pretty run-of-the-mill in terms of content. But I really like how the puppets look-- very solidly-built with some of them even having blinking mechanisms. Gotta love how primitive the CGI in...
I also love how Sadie has a collection of horror movies, one of which is called "H3||hound" with a "$1.00" sticker covering up most of the first word. Yet another moment of the writers getting crap past the radar. :)
Ah, the "Prisoner's Dilemma" mechanic. At least in Friend or Foe, there were only a couple thousand dollars at stake at most. But then you get to shows like Golden Balls, Take it All, and Divided where there is tons on the line, making it sting all the more when those prizes are lost. The latter...
And those adaptations were able to diverge into their own thing rather than being inferior shot-for-shot remakes, such as the U.S. version of Coupling, The Sketch Show (anyone remember that Fox flop with Kelsey Grammer?), or Kath & Kim (I know that one's Australian, but it's the same scenario)...
They did one of those "too short to ride the roller coaster" tropes, but that wasn't the focus. Instead, it focused on Peridot's inferiority complex with her loss of gadgetry and seeming lack of powers, and she even revealed that the newer Homeworld Gems lack the cool shapeshifting powers that...
Deedee Magno really got to show off her singing chops in yesterday's episode, where Pearl still had a hard time getting over Rose Quartz's sacrifice. The animation was especially gorgeous during Pearl's solos, too. :)
On a related note, there will be a hybrid sitcom called Son of Zorn coming to Fox in September, from the writers of the U.S. remake of Wilfred. It will be about a gigantic He-Man parody returning to Earth and trying to re-connect with his estranged family. I really like the offbeat premise, and...
This is a thread made specifically to talk about game shows, good or bad, past or present.
I've been watching The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal more often recently, as I've been busy staying home to hunt for jobs. Drew Carey and Wayne Brady are no Bob Barker and Monty Hall, but they have...
