If they were to reference Harry Hippo as well, I'd be even more impressed. :D

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Anyone else thinks Nine Lives looks really idiotic? I get that it's trying to be one of those throwbacks to '90s family movies with talking animals, but it still looks very by-the-numbers. At least the cat doesn't actually talk like in Homeward Bound, and there's somewhat of a budget behind it...

    We Bare Bears

They've been showing some of the recent episodes online, and the most recent, "Bear Flu", sure was hilarious with how the bears acted when they got sick, especially with Panpan being a melodramatic hypochondriac. It was also a great moment for Chloe to be heroic in sneaking the bears out of the...

I love how Clyde McBride is shown to have two dads, and yet there were no complaints from parental groups over this (yet). :)

That's what I'm hoping for, just like the muppets. would be, too.

    [Adult Swim]

I kinda get what China, IL was trying to go for. It was a satire of college life and how high school doesn't necessarily end when you go to college. But yeah, I couldn't get too much into it.

    Disney Princesses

I am very happy with how Elena of Avalor is turning out. Seems like it's going to be a show for girls who just graduated from Sofia the First, seeing as how the protagonist is a teenager and will be more about her learning good leadership skills rather than solving more fantastical problems. We...

Star Butterfly Vs. The Forces of Evil Thread

Season 2 just debuted, and while "My New Wand" was largely a silly plot involving Star "dipping down" to get Marco un-trapped in a closet, it's the following episode, "Ludo and the Wild" that is really worth talking about. While it focuses on Ludo's quest to survive in a dark, desolate forest...

French TV network TF1 blocked the NotN review for whatever stupid reason, even though they have nothing to do with the movie. Here's an alternate link. #WTFU http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4jyn29

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

The animation is crappy for a theatrical release, but compared to other DTV releases (as this thing was intended to be), it's Pixar caliber. And they seem to utilizing rubber hose animation a la Sony Animation's stuff, though it doesn't look as refined here.

    The Lion Guard

They got Steve Blum to voice the leopard in the latest episode, and he sure makes the character look terrifying as he hunted down the shy okapi that befriended Beshte, who nobody else believes is real even though even though they believe in a superhero team of animals led by a lion cub capable...

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

The Mysterious Mr. Enter just put out a review of Norm of the North, and he had very little kind things to say about it. I'm surprised that, near the beginning, he didn't reference the We Bare Bears episode where the bears are put on their natural diets and Ice Bear bonds with a baby seal that...

    When you need to rant...

I have very little sympathy for the "Black Lives Matter" protesters when some of them are willing to kill innocent cops and even white people in general. Plus, a lot of their behavior just gives racists more ammo to use against them, both literally and figuratively.

    The "You know what?" thread

Unfortunately, Barney's going to be coming back, too. I know I speculated that the new show would be all-animated due to 9 Story being behind the production, until I found out that they do produce quite a bit of live-action shows, too. So live-action it will stay.

    ABC officially cancels "The Muppets"

I agree. I was willing to give The Real O'Neals a chance, and I ended up enjoying it especially once it started to find its voice near the end of the 1st season. But Speechless doesn't look very good, and the mother character feels derivative of the mothers on the other ABC comedies, barring the...

    The Funny Videoe Thread

Back in the '80s, many car companies put out models that had voice alert systems as an option. It seems that after that, they fell out of style, largely because they were a nuisance to many drivers. Here's the Speak 'n Spell having a conversation with its successor, the Chrysler EVA (Electronic...
